Selection in shop very good. I have lived in Magor over40 years. Sometimes , because of Distribution problems Prescriptions go a miss. You have just got to be patient.

At 9.25 am on the Saturday 30th April, I presented myself with a very obviously infected eye. I explained to the lady who dealt with me that I had had this in the past and that Chloromphenecol ointment 1% had always been effective in clearing it. I explained that I was flying to Spain in a few hours, and that I needed this treatment, but she refused to sell it and arrogantly told me that I had a sty and should wash it with water. Two days later, I attended a clinic in Spain who immediately prescribed Cloromphenecol ointment, which cleared the condition in two days. We are continually told that a pharmacist is often a good first port of call for health advice, but not if the person who confronts you is a jobsworth and thinks they know best.

Absolutely brilliant staff, led really well by Debbie. Fantastic service levels and a joy to deal with, particularly if one is feeling unwell and at one's lowest ebb.Nothing is too much trouble and, as well as being extremely efficient (even when under January 2021's colossal pressure), there's always a smile, a 'can-do' attitude and their communication skills are first-rate. Absolutely useless!!! There an hour and a half before finding out they don't even have a prescription ready after a week!!! And wouldn't sell me an over the counter product! RUDE
