I booked for a party of 13 on the weekend to celebrate 2 birthdays, not eaten here for 7 years as I moved out of the area slightly but all of us again had a great meal, we pre ordered so made it easier for chefs I?m a chef myself so I know how grateful a pre order is for a large table! Staff were lovely, lovely beer garden and we could keep an eye on the younger child from the sun room, definitely will be back again soon thank you glan yr afon

Just had a really enjoyable meal - came away extremely full as great food including some good vegetarian options - which are often lacking elsewhere. Even brought home a second dessert as a takeaway! Don't know why I wasn't aware of this great restaurant before but I will definitely be a returning customer. Also reasonably priced food and friendly, attentive staff.

Food & drinks: Midweek meal for 2 during half term. It was pretty busy but the staff did a great job. Beer & wine excellent and food excellent. Our only disappointment was lack of scallops & asparagus on the menu.

Booked in for a meal whilst we?re on a mountain biking trip in the area. Food was absolutely spot on and great value for money. Unfortunately the service was lacking. Many people around us had empty plates for upwards of half an hour and some people had to go to the bar for their own drinks. We managed to order a second set of drinks but after waiting 45 mins decided to pay and leave. We?d also asked for the desert menu that didn?t turn up. Would be understandable if it was majorly busy but it wasn?t! Some staff were just busying themselves with other tasks rather than attending to customers. Very unusual but as mentioned the food was spot on!Food & drinks: Food = brilliant. Massive kudos to the chefDrinks = good. But 45 mins wait isn?t.Service = lacking

We phoned up last minute and they got us a table for 2 in the cwtch area. With our 2 irish setters and baby daughter. The staff were lovely. Very friendly and the food was fantastic. Steak was perfect. I would go back for sure. Thank you very much.Jamie & Orla , Wrecsam.

This has to be the best pub for miles. The most fabulous vegetarian meals and just exceptional customer service. Adam is doing a cracking job and always makes everyone welcome.

Amazing meal for a special birthday with a large party. We had a huge private room, amazing Sunday roast. The staff were very helpful and considerate, really did anything they could for us. Kids, dogs, all welcome and catered for. We're definitely going to visit again on our next trip and a great choice if staying at nearby plas talgarth. Only regret is not visiting sooner!
