Sunday Lunch - Not Bad
First of all credit must be given as this is the only pub in the area where you can walk in at any time on a Sunday afternoon and get a roast. All the others require pre-booking. The quality of the food was OK. It was brought out in 10-15 minutes. Plenty of space inside and out to sit. Very chilled out place.

Friendly and welcoming pub in lovely rural village. Comfortable rooms with big bathrooms. Quality pub food and generous breakfasts. The hosts will provide a packed lunch if wanted.

Stayed here with mum and sister whilst walking Offas Dyke, and it was absolutely perfect. Bit of a walk off the trail however it was the closest option! Sheila and her partner were incredible hosts, so accommodating and thoughtful. They have a fridge next to the rooms for fresh milk and water. The evening meal was exceptional - better than your standard pub fare and the breakfast menu was really good. The room was very comfortable and they upgraded us to have more space. Loved it!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. However, after several attempts to contact The Crown regarding a refund, I feel it is important to highlight my experience. Unfortunately, due to my mother being ill after a serious car accident my sister had to postpone her wedding (scheduled for 5th October 2024). This meant I no longer required the room I had booked at The Crown. Despite cancelling my booking 4 months in advance The Crown did not reimburse me my £125. They didn't reply to my emails and didn't answer the phone. All in all this has been a very poor experience, and one I would not wish anyone else to have to go through. Should staff at The Crown read this review, perhaps they'd be so kind as to get in touch with me.

We stayed here as wedding guests, and the staff went above and beyond for us. The rooms were clean, very comfortable beds, and a good breakfast. A lovely little b&b in the country!

Visit the Crown Inn on a regular basis and cannot recommend enough. I visit friends in the area and always make a point of having at least one meal here. My friend has a beef allergy and the staff take extra care to ensure that she is accommodated. Lovely home cooked food and the most friend pleasant staff- food is reasonably priced and locals very friendly - worth a visit

Sadly much of an experience as the other people on here. We were staying in the area and this was the local. Wouldn?t recommend going for food. Certainly don?t bother if you are vegetarian or vegan. Our friend ordered the lasagna which was on the menu as vegetarian. They didn?t seem to know if it actually was vegetarian then she was told it was vegetarian. Well she was served broccoli and half a block of melted cheese. Think they need to google what a lasagna is. No ragu in sight. For £14 this was a bit of a joke. See how appetising the picture looks. She wouldn?t have minded if they had said sorry its not veggie. Then she could have ordered the veggie burger. We were also given greasy cutlery that we cleaned our selves. You may ask why we didn?t complain? With the attitude of the staff there really wasn?t any point. The barman was grumpy and looked so fed up. The girl who took the order and served the food didn?t come back to ask if everything was ok. Couldn?t wait to leave. Disappointing as for £4 a pint of cider it would have been nice to have a few drinks. Would definitely go further afield if looking to eat out again. We took a gamble going with all the negative reviews already wish we hadn?t bothered.
