Lovely pub and very friendly hosts with the nicest ale (Butty Bach). Didn?t eat, just sat in the beer garden for a few hours after walking Offa?s Dyke. Perfect.

Just wow ?? this pub is the finest pub in the whole valley , to start with the water is unreal , literally so refreshing!! The hospitality from the owner is second to none , he made us feel so welcome and was a great crack for the 3 days we were camping ??. Cheesy chips and piazza was delectable.. very good drinks and a beautiful beer garden . The perfect pub finished of with a dart board and board games . The owner should be very proud !! Ps health and safety was on point ?

So pleased that this pub has re-opened. We received a lovely warm welcome and can highly recommend. Although there were only snacks available to eat we were very impressed by the owners plans for the future. We visit this area of the country every year and we are so looking forward to returning next year and sampling the food.

Dropped in here after walking on the Offa?s Dyke path on a particularly wet and windy day from Hay on Wye. 7 very wet and cold walkers could not have been made more welcome with great service, a log fire and no worries about the mud and water we brought in. Thank you Shaun!

We luckily found this lovely place whilst driving from Abergavenny to Hay-on-Wye, along the Gospel Pass.We had a tasty lunch- cheese toasty with salad and a Butty Bach.A cosy, welcoming pub, with a garden commanding great views. Very friendly staff, well worth a visit!

Lovely traditional pub with great pint of Butty and cheap camping ground next door for our campervan. Landlord even helped tow us out as we got stuck! Will visit again as great area to explore.

Cracking little pub, stopped here for a couple of pints and some cheesy chips (delicious) when walking the beacon way. Also has good wifi (should you need it) defo worth a pop in
