Went to see the Rob Pointon exhibition. His paintings are excellent.Experience let down by the male staff member who actually screamed when my 3 year old ran over to me (3/4 paces) in the main hallway, where artwork was resting against the wall on the floor. My child stopped about 2 feet from any artwork, was not being naughty and was just acting like 3 year olds do.Unsure as to why artwork would be on the floor on a busy Saturday afternoon, but didn't appreciate the overreaction and subsequent hissy fit. Quite embarrassing.A shame.

Beautiful setting, very nice cafe, friendly proprietors. As for the art, like any gallery, some you will love, some you won't...but that's the beauty of art in general. Would certainly return.

Lovely historical building with unusual artwork to discover. Beautifully laid out rooms to enjoy while pursuing the artwork & sculptures. We enjoyed the delights of the cafe afterwards, lots of delicious cake to choose from. Walking in the grounds outside was wonderful!

This is easily one of my favourite places in Wales. It's a very calm, tranquil place with very friendly staff whether I'm with elderly relatives or my young son. The cafe is really good (simple soup and sandwiches style lunches and wonderful cakes). I like the taste of whoever chooses the art - there is always something that catches my eye so it's a bit dangerous from that perspective!

I visited for the first time on 9th February 2023. A very good friend had recommended the Matthew Wood exhibition 'Brought to Light'.I was surprised how many gallery rooms there are! Everything is thoughtfully displayed in this stunning country setting. I also appreciated the discreet soundtrack of Stan Getz playing and a delicious cake in the cafe!Really enjoyed the whole ambience. Look forward to coming back soon.
