Great pub food, great local beer. Lovely atmosphere, very nice, friendly, attentive staff, good plenty of parking and somewhere for the kids to play. What more is needed?

Alright options for a regular pub meal. Burgers were priced to be on a higher side but were average in taste.

Pre-booked a table for Thursday evening, steak night
Have a nice selection of lagers on tap and do a range of cocktails 2x£14.
Ordered the soup with garlic bread as a starter. Garlic bread was delicious soup was ok but not to my taste.
Main i order the chefs special. Lambs liver and mash. Meal was nice although i prefer my mash to be smooth and creamy.
For pudding i ordered sticky toffee and custard which was lovely.

We had pre booked a table for last night during a previous visit. We were staying at Llys Derwen campsite for the week so were able to walk down and enjoy their range of cocktails. I had the steak special for £19 which included a drink and my brother had lambs liver. We both enjoyed our meal. Desserts, we chose sticky toffee pudding and Eton Mess Sundae. My dessert was a bit disappointing. I couldnt taste any meringue and it seemed as though it was pre made and had just lifted straight from freezer. Bro enjoyed his sticky toffee.

Went for Sunday lunch. Delicious food. We had lamb, perfectly cooked, ample portions, tasty, followed by apple crumble and custard. First class. Served by a friendly, golden haired young lady. Can't wait to return. Excellent

Good food, I even forgot to take a pic before I started eating it looked that good, nice to get some hot sauce to make it yummy. Good beer and great service!

Stayed just 2mins away ,so booked for ten of us .
Traditional pub ,was a nice atmosphere.but the food not up too much had to send a plate back eventually.

Food excellent was there at 6.30 and the place was buzing. Service and food was wonderful. I was at campervans site down the road. Just a 20 min walk. But there was ample car parking

Great food freshly cooked. Puddings were a bit disappointing as they'd clearly just come from the freezer (how hard is it to make a sundae?) but the main course was perfectly cooked and good quality ingredients. Straightforward menu with nice choices for great pub-grub done really well

Recently visited with a party of 45 for sunday lunch which was delicious and piping hot, they managed to cheerfully serve all of us quickly.
Lots of praise for the mash potato and everyone very happy with their lunch. Friendly atmosphere, background music at perfect volume to be be able to chat, great value for money.

Sorry to say this place was a real disappointment. It started well, with a nice pint and a great menu, but the food was a real let down. The pictures and reviews looked promising and we thought it was a dead cert, especially with the specials etc. My son and I went for the steak as it was steak night. At a reduced price of £19 per meal, we went for it, both to be cooked medium. 8oz served with chips, tomato and fried mushrooms and onions. That is indeed what we received but the execution was poor. Steak looked more like a chip, it was over cooked, unseasoned and hadn't been rested. Chips were a good colour but not cooked properly and the mushrooms and onions were definitely not cooked, they were warm and oily. We ate what we could and it filled a hole, but at £19 per plate, I expected more. Not more quantity, more quality in the cooking. Based on that experience, safe to say I wouldn't go back which is a real shame.
