I think the lady's name behind the counter was Carys, although I apologise if I've got that wrong, and when I asked if they had any customer toilets she said no, but we were very welcome to use the staff facilities. I even managed to try out a few Welsh phrases on her to which she responded kindly. Our first taste of Welsh kindness but certainly not our last.”
