Food & drinks: I went for a meal with my Grand Children on Sunday, we had a really Lovely meal.Excellent service, friendly staff and a lovely place??they were really patient with us, considering I had a grumpy, hungry impatient toddler ????????

Turned up to our prebooked table for a Sunday Roast. They were sold out of Pork and Lamb so just beef left which we ordered.
We had the scraps of whatever was leftovers so 1 shrivelled up bit brocolli each and 1 carrot each. I complained and the kitchen had run out of vegetables? we also asked for the cauliflower cheese it was meant to come with which they?d also ran out of.
2 rosettes? god knows how. Would not recommend in the slightest.

Fantastic experience. We booked a room and had dinner and breakfast. The room was lovely, spacious and very well turned out.Dinner was superb and a real dining experience. There were some very novel and exciting dishes available, along with the more traditional, so something for everyone. Flavours were first class, as was presentation. Top marks for the chef.There was a good range of breakfast available but we opted for the full Welsh. It was cooked/seasoned to perfection and a great start to the day.Staff were great. Warm and welcoming. Exactly what you can expect from the Welsh, but seems to be typical of Llanidloes, which is a lovely town.Overall a great stay so many thanks to all.

We stopped here for lunch. The venison burgers were fine (although one was undercooked), Unfortunately the £16 pasta dish was tiny and a real rip off for what was served. This was a shame because the place seemed fine otherwise with good service.

Two of us had a very good three course dinner, with a glass of Welsh red wine in an elegant dining room. The food was excellent, decent helpings (not too big, not to small), prepared to a high standard both as to preparation and presentation. The service was friendly, attentive not intrusive, and we felt well looked after. An enjoyable and memorable evening.
