After my husband rang this morning about my 19 month old baby we were told that we could come between 9 and 12. We arrived at 11:15am and waited patiently in the queue. At 12:10pm the patient before us went in and we were told by one of the ladies behind the counter that the pharmacist could no longer see us as he was late for a conference call. I told the lady that this was unacceptable, that we turned up in reasonable time and that my baby was unwell. She said "we can either come back later or go the surgery if we felt it was an emergency, OK?" When I said it wasn't OK, she ran off. SHE RAN OFF. And left me sat there with my unwell baby. I complained to another lady behind the counter and she spoke to the pharmacist who then kindly agreed to see us. The rest of the visit was fine, however I am still in disbelief that a) you are able to turn away ill children just because you have ran over time b) the employee that ran away mid conversation should be ashamed of herself, I also have experience of working in primary care and in my practice this would have been a disciplinary issue.

On one of my many weekends away in llani i run out of my prescription medication. Faced with a four hour round trip to fix this I decided to ask in the local chemist. Low and behold the Pharmacist was extremely helpful and went out of her way to resolve my issue. I can only highly recommend as I'm not able to award knighthoods. Best Pharmacist in the world...
