Best place in Wales, an authentic market like they did in the old days. Same hospitality and quality.

Chloe is wonderful and the quality of everything is superb. Especially Andy?s Bakery breads & pastries. It?s our first time visiting the Llanidloes area from London, and stocking up on our first morning, as we walked from the shop he said ?I could see living here.?

We visited here on our way through from North Wales and were so saddened to hear it's closing it's doors as of tomorrow for the foreseeable future. I have rarely visited such a warm, welcoming and homely cafe as this. The delicious coffee, the board games on the shelf, the perfectly seasoned vegan sausage rolls, the squishy cushions by the window where locals perch and wax lyrical about this amazing hub of the community. If local feeling is anything to go by this gem of a cafe won't be shut for long, and when it reopens we'll be back and waiting in the queue!

Thought it was very overpriced cheaper and fresher in the supermarket

What a great shopping experience. It's great to be able to chat to those who serve. Lovely cheese, great bread (with a new type of flour - whorl, half white half wholemeal), lady serving invented it. Some really interesting ciders. Lovely to experience an unhurried store.

I cannot tell you how good the bread is at this shop. We stopped randomly on a long journey, just looking for a place to stop and get a coffee. We bought a loaf of sourdough here and ate it many hours later when we got home. Frankly it?s worth a 4 hour round trip from Bristol. Thanks for being the best part of my day.

Had a great lunch at the Great Oak. Thir quiche and three salads for £9.95 is good value and excellent quality. Always look forward to stopping here on our journeys through mid-Wales.

Delighted to find this wonderful vegi cafe in the middle of Wales. My sweet potato and line soup was one of the best soups I've ever had. The flavour and texture and seasoning was spot on. Quiche and salad was exceptional too. The garden at the back is spacious and beautiful. Slightly disappointed by the cappuccino as the taste wasn't brilliant, but overall such a pleasant experience. So 5 star from me.

This is a vegan cafe, which is not a problem to me , a non vegan, BUT I do expect a reasonable experience. I decided to have a Hot Chocolate drink and Scone to eat. The drink was lovely but the Scone was very ( I mean very) dry. It crumbled as I tried to cut it. There was the smallest amount of butter and jam to put on it. It barely covered one half. I tried to attract someone?s attention, when I noticed a sign apologising because the staff were being trained. So sad.

Love the food here, and love that much of it is vegan. Really tasty salads selection, also warm options, the menu changes depending on what they have made that day. I wanted everything! Had a really nice homemade burger and salad. Nice courtyard garden out the back for a hot day. Wish we could visit more often (was on holiday).
