Great little pub. We stopped in for dinner (order at the bar!) and food was good and freshly made. Staff were friendly. Beer in excellent condition too.

After a fantastic walk along the canal, we stopped at the Royal Oak and enjoyed a delicious meal for six in the beer garden. The menu was extensive with plenty of choice, and every dish was thoroughly enjoyed. A lovely spot with great food and a welcoming atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back.

Good food but unwelcoming owner that questions you parking and lady bar manager who I found rather ignorant. Not a traditional pub all food and goodbye.
