As someone who works in the health and safety industry I was disappointed to see that the step leading up to the view of the river was carpeted in the same carpet as the lower level. This is a huge trip hazard and two of my friends actually tripped up themselves. This should be highlighted for customers. Especially that day was more of the older generation present.

Had a few pints in here and a few games of pool to boot. Nice atmosphere to say the least and staff very welcoming for sure.

The toilets in this pub were absolutely atrocious. The smell from them was unreal and I cannot even explain how disgusting they were.

Great little gem in Llangollen. A mix locals, sports TV and great atmosphere....a must visit if just for the extensive memorabilia hanging in the rafters....Walkability: Extensive walks. Beautiful scenery. Slow paced. In the middle of Llangollen. ? pool and Sky Sports.

If there was an option to give a zero star rating, it would be needed here.Please avoid this place and give your business to those who actually care about staying open.To put it bluntly, how this place stays open I do not know.It was filthy, the toilets hadn't been cleaned from the night before, there was a door kicked off its hinges in the lady's blocking the entrance in, floor was covered in urine. Given that it was only midday, it couldn't have gotten into that state on the day.Coffee machine off, Guinness off, coke machine off! Nothing seemed to work.Tables where filthy and needed a good wipe and three staff on shift just stood around.It's such a shame that this place is so scruffy. It wouldn't take much to make it into a really lovely venue as the views at the back over the river are lovely.

A member of staff clearly stated she was off work at 17:00 but was still behind the bar at 23:00 and was highly intoxicated falling and shouting around the bar. She came over to our group shouting and balling claiming one of us called her a ?slag? we were all in disbelief as to where this was coming from, this then leads to more disruption with her daughter who was also a member of staff then coming over to confront us with her hand down her trousers! All we wanted was a quiet few drinks with some friends watching some boxing but the staff had other ideas. I would avoid this place like the plague. Unless you want to be accused of verbally abusing the staff

Did not stay in a room so could not comment but a real treasure of a bar.... Great drinks, reasonable prices and good service will definitely be back ???

Very rude staff and anti-welsh.. in Wales. Unfortunately, this made a day trip to Llangollen very unpleasant, luckily other pubs and places around the town made up for it!
