Popped in for lunch after a walk up Black Hill... Really nice atmosphere, good service and very delicious food at a reasonable price.

5 wet muddy bikers turned up expecting to be turned away (on told to stay outside) but we were welcomed inside and given a table. Locals were great also. Brilliant atmosphere with fires burning. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely delicious supper, everything was just perfect. The smoked haddock souffle was amazing, as were the main courses and puddings. Its a shame we live so far away !! Thank you.

We stayed here at The Temple Bar Inn when we visited Oldfield Forge. The Temple Bar Inn is ideally situated to Oldfield, only a 16 minute drive away, which was one reason why we stayed here. We were not disappointed. Our stay at Temple Bar Inn was lovely. The staff, were friendly and showed us to our bright, clean and modern room with tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a TV and yes, WIFI. Our evening meal was delicious and the full English breakfast got you started for the day. No cheap sausage here and if you like black pudding, you got a slab! I certainly recommend staying here.

What a nice place. The room was absolutely spotless. To be fair so was every inch. We did not eat unfortunately but when walking through restaurant a few times. I looked good and empty plates. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. As were all.

Had the most amazing Sunday Lunch. So delicious I didn't want it to end.

Came for a Sunday roast and while the service was quick it was £18.50 for luke warm food and beef that was mostly gristle. No opportunity to say anything as we weren't asked how the food was at any stage. We hadn't been asked if we wanted dessert and the bill was brought over when they collected our plates. It was all very odd and disappointing considering the reviews. TLDR - not worth £18.50 for a luke warm low quality roast dinner

Nice pub in a nice village. Added bonus of having an outdoor area.

We had a meal this evening, fish pie was delicious, packed with flavour. Desserts were spit on too. Friendly staff. Well worth visiting.

We had a fantastic stay here. The room was great, just what we needed for our one night stop over for my partners birthday. The bar and restaurant were also lovely, we didn?t try the food as we had dinner booked else where but did had a few drinks at the bar before and after and had a great time with the locals who we?re all super friendly and welcoming.
The stand out for us was the staff and service we received though, Gino in particular was fantastic and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Decent fry up for breakfast in the morning too! Can?t fault this place at all - 10/10 from us.

Very well appointed pub with rooms. Food was excellent. The breakfast was outstanding. Staff were uniformly helpful and polite, a bit out of the way hence only 4 stars but everything under the managements control was very good
