On a rainy day, we were welcomed, and the lady serving was happy for us to eat in the shop. Sadly, neither the fish nor the chips lived up to my expectations. The chips were hard and overcooked, and the fish was leathery, overcooked, and hard around the edges. The batter was no better than Iceland's frozen; soggy and somewhat greasy. There was a flurry of business after we had been served, and some local people who clearly buy from there regularly.

this is hands down the best chippy i?ve ever had and i?ve had a lot of chippys. so good i came back twice in two days for dinner whilst visiting the area and my dog loved the sausages. thanks eagle chippy - don't change a thing, you?re perfect

Lovely chip shop
I had one of the spring rolls omg it was lovely.
The traditional chips were amazing too. Hard to find a decent chip shop but this ones great we will definitely be back when we visit the area again

We bought 3 mini fish and chips and a kebab. Freshly cooked and very tasty. Surprisingly better kebabs than home town pizza shops and reasonable prices. Its fairly popular as there's no close alternatives. Seating outside for the pub next door and the fish shop. Worth a visit if your passing or staying close by.

We went there just before closing time and the food was good. Fun to listen to the local pub goers that were there. Bless 'em.

Nice little village chip shop. Went for the gluten free fish and chips which is coeliac friendly. No upset tummy after. Ow and very nice curry sauce.

Found this place by accident while on holiday in the area. Went in with my greyhound for a takeaway plus a couple of sausages for him. My cod and chips was absolutely divine. Being from London, we have a proliferation of fish and chips eateries so are a little spoilt for choice. However, this is right up there in terms of quality and taste. I was going to go again today but unfortunately it is closed on a Sunday. I will certainly be visiting again. Thank you so much to the lovely lady who served me and apologies for scattering dried leaves on your counter whilst fishing for coins. I devoured every single morsel of your delicious food.
