we broke down in wales on tuesday and needed an alternator, the RAC took us to Ystwyth garage in Llanilar and reassured us it would be fixed the next day wednesday or the day after thursday. Wednesday the lady in the garage rang us up and said the part would be in thursday morning, we waited all day in the village shop car park nobody got in touch by 4.30 so i decided to walk down to see where we were up to, the garage had shut for the day. No phone call to update us on the alternator so another night in the car park. Friday morning the lady rang and said the alternator will be in at 9.30 (thought they already had it this is day three waiting) waited until 10.30 and walked up to the garage was told one of the guys would be down in half an hour. so 11 am he came down, we were told it would be ready for 12.30.1oclock by the latest. they rang at 3 oclock saying your vans ready. not happy with the service, locals get there parts same day. IF YOUR NOT LOCAL DON'T GO. AVOID AVOID

Very helpful and honest garage, fixed my car and returned not needed parts instead of saying they were fitted and charging for them, car drives the best it ever has done.I will definitely go here again and would recommend this garage to everyone for great service.All mechanics took the time to explain their findings and were prepared to help.

Been taking my Cars here now for over a year I used to use Jason when he had a garage in Aberystwyth but due to the move I didn't continue however after having several issues with other garages I decided to go back and it's definitely the best decision I have made all the staff are friendly the pricing is fair and everybody will do what they can as fast as possiblehighly recommend. ?Service: General repairs & maintenance

Whilst revisiting Aberystwyth I met Jason who assured me they were "into Jags" so I booked my XF in to have a cambelt change. The job was completed quickly and at a very competitive price however, a few days later upon leaving Aberystwyth, my wife got only 15 miles before warning lights indicated low on water. Fortunately , albeit a Sunday morning , I was able to get out to her only to discover that a water hose clip had not been fitted and the pipe had blown off. I repaired the car and my wife was able to drive the 220 miles home., however once on the M54 the car went into limp mode. The next morning I spoke to Jason who was extremely apologetic and was willing to travel over to me and collect the car. It was agreed that because of the distance I would take the car back to him the next time I visited Aberystwyth. So far so good, but upon my return to him he had the car for a day and a half only to return it to me still faulty and passed on the explanation that the turbo was faulty, it must have been a coincidence he said and I should take the car to a main dealer. I returned home and went to a Jaguar Specialist who had the car for half an hour and found a vacuum pipe had also not been reconnected !!Moral of the story. Firstly, the garage may be okay with less sophisticated cars but Jags are not their scene and secondly they neither had the knowledge or desire the correct what was clearly their mistake. These things happen and the true test of a business is the way they deal with their mistakes.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I couldn't find anyone to remove my locking wheel nuts, as the key was missing. I mentioned it to Jason, the owner, he said no problem when would you like to book it in. Took it in as per the booking, twenty minutes later, nuts removed and no damage. I've used them for years and have always had excellent service, best prices for repairs and always friendly, professional service.
