Brilliant dentist, very knowledgeable and have done excellent work on my teeth with no fuss. The dental nurse is very reassuring. Flexible with appointments and get seen quickly.

Have had a really bad time with them actually believing I am in pain. After I cancelled a single appointment due to flu-like symptoms, their receptionist became hostile towards me despite me always being polite and reasonable. Following this I believe they put me on some kind of problem patient list meaning that I was not offered an emergency appointment when in severe pain. I have had to deregister, leaving me with no NHS dentist.Update - I am now seen at the Community Dentist in Newtown who are undertaking the treatment that should have happened at Deri, ie scale and root plane and prescription toothpaste. Sadly at age 41 I have several loose teeth, no teeth on my lower right jaw, and significant jaw bone loss due to the negligence at Deri. The dentist at Deri removed a tooth unnccessarily and didn't warn me it would compromise the neighbouring tooth and lead to it falling out. I am reporting them to the GDC and have no choice but to take legal action to try and pay for private reconstructive work. This is an absolutely awful dental practice, please avoid them and try and get another dentist even if it's an emergency.

I was pleased to be able to register with an NHS dentist and had a check up in October. No treatment needed although I mentioned a niggle to them. A few weeks later I had excruciating toothache which kept me up all night. I phoned them first thing and they asked me to email photos of my mouth!!! I was then told I had ulcers and needed to wait 7 days for them to settle. Despite using Corsodyl, Bonjela etc it was still very painful a week later. I phoned again and was told I would need root canal or an extraction. I asked for root canal and was told I would have to find a private dentist as they didn't do that. I left it a couple of days and asked for an appointment for an extraction as I couldn't put up with the pain. Once again no appointment was made as they have to speak to the dentist and phone you back, except they never did. I have since been to a private dentist who confirmed I had an abscess. The relief when he removed the filling and dressed the tooth happened very quickly. I am now having to have private root canal treatment. It would seem that Deri Dental just want to get people registered as NHS patients and then offer no treatment. I'm really disgusted with their service.

Extremely rude and unhelpful. My father went in with excruciating gum pain and had been advised by his GP he that he needed antibiotics, but they couldn?t prescribe them as it was a dental matter. On arrival the crettin of a receptionist refused to make him an appointment and instead gave him a load of verbal abuse saying he hadn?t been in for a number of years and because of that she wouldn?t make an appointment. Then the dentist joined in and said she didn?t want to give him an appointment and that he needed to ring 111. He then asked if he could ring 111 in their waiting room as it was cold outside and they refused and gave more verbal abuse and he had to leave. My father is in his early 60?s and is suffering with cancer and other health problems, he was polite and patient with both woman and didn?t deserve their nasty attitudes. Because of their negligence he had to wait 9 hours in A&E, where his face and gums had swelled to double the sized and he had to be put on a drip.

Same day appointment when rang with toothache. Tooth extracted efficiently and painlessly. You only realise how good a dentist is when you have something done.

My review is based only on the extremely rude and abrupt receptionist.

Just been to this lovely dentist. I had a filling and an extraction and I didn't feel any pain at all! I've been to many dentists in my life and this was by far the best experience at a dentist I've ever had. Very professional and reassuring..thankyou

The worst dental experience of my whole life. Ignoring the fact the place is quite grotty ... The workmanship was horrendous. I had to go back to get the lady to correct the shoddy work she had done, which she did. In all honesty - i wish i just went private - so now i have !

Had a tooth extraction there, she was really rough to the point the side of my gum collapsed and the side of my lip split from being forced open too far. I later rang up for a follow up appointment because after a day or so the pain got worse and had a horrible taste in my mouth with no blood clot formed (symptoms of dry socket) they told me there was nothing they could do and to "stop playing with it"
