Great local pub with a very knowledgeable landlord when it comes to real ales. Also a good selection of larger. Beautiful setting in down by the river with a beer garden worth sitting in. Unfortunately aren't many left like this in Wales.

I stayed here for a night and it was just perfect. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely and breakfast with a proper pot of tea was much needed. I am hoping to be back again.

Such friendly staff.Nothings too much trouble.Very relaxing,peaceful Hotel, beautiful surroundings.patio seating in at the rear garden next to the river and a lovely church.Lots of parking space,at the rear of the hotel.A great price,with a lovely full English breakfast included .Can't wait to go back(July) for a family party in the function room.we highly recommend this hotel.George and joy.

This review is for the restaurant. As I live locally, I did not stay overnight, so it only fair to give the rooms 5-stars. Our party of 4 had booked a table, it was Friday night and the restaurant was busy. The printed menu was reassuringly short with some specials on a blackboard, two of us had the monkfish (from the specials), one traditional fish & chips and the fourth chicken supreme. All agreed the food was excellent, and the service from Rhodri and his staff attentive without being intrusive. After COVID our eating habits have changed, we must dine here more often.

What an amazing place ! Definitely a secret gem, stumbled across today and was totally surprised. The outdoor area next to the water was beautiful, service very friendly and superb beers! Will definitely come back to try the food.

We live locally and have often eaten at Y Porth when friends and family visit. Every time it's amazing. Beautiful surroundings, perfectly cooked and presented food, and brilliant attentive staff. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

We stayed 2 days at the Porth . We were welcomed by Rhodri . It was January and the first thing i noticed was how lovely and warm the hotel was . The view from our window was over looking the river . Lovely en suite in the room . Tea and coffee in the room. And the full English breakfast was delicious. We have booked up for later in the year. .so friendly and welcoming can?t wait to go back . Lovely Sunday lunch. As a group we had 3 out of the 4 mains offered and all were lovely. Lots of veg and the puddings were amazing too. Children's portion was a good size and they made a smaller version of the puddings for the children too.
All very reasonably priced as well.
