I live just down the road from here so have visited often, each time worsens from the last. It's got to the point I've given up from going now so would suggest people don't bother.Wait times are atrocious, even when it looks to be quiet. I've waited 25 hours from start to finish before now. Some of the staff and especially the woman "manager" Amanda are so unbelievably rude. Food orders always come wrong. Everyone that sits on the other tables always seem to have a problem with their food and service too so it makes the atmosphere tense. The refillable drinks machine always has drinks out of stock which never get replaced. It's definitely short staffed and everything seems to break down when they have more than 20 customers in. I won't ever return here again.

Absolute joke of a restaurant. It took 3 hours to get a 3 course Christmas dinner. It took over an hour to get our desserts which were 2 sundaes. Staff hadn't a clue what was going on and didn't appear to care. Clueless management unable to take control and manage the situation. They refused to take responsibility for the situation although they took bookings before hand and couldn't arrange enough staff to work on the day. The attitude of most staff wasn't great. It's a bad sign when customers ended up cleaning up the tables after themselves. Will not be returning.

Had Christmas dinner here & it was shocking! The management & chef needs sacking. The rest of the staff tried hard & looked overwhelmed by stress. Hence why we didn't kick up a fuss at the time...as I felt sorry for them.Food was well below mediocre & personally I want a refund!!!My advice to the staff would be to leave & work for a better manager....

Frankly, a big disappointment. Booked for Christmas Dinner, 50 mins to get a table, no Bucks fizz as advertised, no crackers. Badly organised, some staff dodging work including the manager!!! Some staff doing more than others, one girl in particular. I thought the food was passable, but my Wife would disagree! The sprouts were raw, and nasty, other veg wasn't much better, microwaved. Don't think we'll be there again....Parking: Overspill parking area.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessable to wheelchair users.

came here for dinner on christmas eve. food was okay, but one meal was forgotten and it was only when they brought the others out that they said they don?t serve the missed order.they forgot to change the chips to mash on child?s food. then sauce was spilled all over my partners jumper and the floor by a waiter, then was not cleaned up. dessert was good but even then the table was not cleared for desserts to come out and table was so sticky when we sat down as if it wasn?t cleaned beforehand. would not recommend ??

Hopefully, it's a one-off review! Ordered for five of us, starters were good, time delay was nearly an hour before our main meals arrived, with one meal returned as the steak was cold. Replacement meal did not arrive until everyone else had finished their meals. We were refunded the cost of one of the mains as a goodwill gesture.

Popped in on a Friday after work for a quick bite to eat. Food was amazing (Katsu Curry and After Eight Sunday) and staff were friendly and attentive, especially Hannah, Amanda, Chris and Courtney. Many thanks for an enjoyable

Amazing lunch for our Anniversary and we were even given a bottle of prosecco to celebrate with. Amazing staff and food of which we had the Calverley . The only downside was the peas and sprouts were not cooked enough but meat and everything else was fantastic. Pink gin and lemonade with fruit and ice was also amazing. A big thank you to the staff ???Parking: Large car park

I hadn't been to the Craig Side, in 4years since splitting with my wife (it was our special place to go). However I took some of my mates there telling them "Wait til you see this place and see the food its 5*". The service was horrendous. The manageress was rude. There was only 3 of us..... their where empty tables everywhere but we where told their was none. We grabbed some drinks and watched as people arrived and got a table (no reservation aswell just like us). We where made to wait an hour!!! With empty tables everywhere... when we were finally seated their where still empty tables. We ordered the xmas dinner. IT WAS A SMALL MICROWAVE MEAL!!!!!! 100% microwave. And a tiny portions. A mouthful of chicken. I was so embarrassed I'd taken my 2 best mates there. AVOID THIS PLACE....its trading on its good name but the foods gone down hill.

Food took over an hour to arrive. It'd understand if it was rammed, but there were empty tables everywhere. Screaming kids lying on the floor and rolling around also isn't great, and staff didn't seem to care. Food was poor as well, but I wasn't expecting much.

We used the craigside inn whilst staying at the premier inn at the same site. The service at the bar is very very slow. Although there is plenty of choice with lager, they are all obscure foreign types. I opted for Stella which was absolutely aweful. Not sure if this was just badly kept beer, or if it was out of date by the time I got served. The wife's vodka and lemonade tasted of plastic, and at just short of £11 for 2 drinks its a bit much. When we found a table that was not reserved for diners, the table was sticky and in need of a good wash. It also had one short leg and we just expected better. Although we chose not to eat there, I witnessed one customer return a meal unhappy and a couple waited more than an hour for their food to arrive. Sure you can find better down in the town.

Stayed at the adjoining Premier Inn 15th to 18th November. We opted to have Breakfast on all 3 Mornings and The Festive Dinner Meal on 2 Evenings. All the staff were friendly, helpfull, efficient and went the extra mile. Breakfast was served hot, nicely presented and tasty on two out of the three days however on one day it could have been better. Gary the waiter worked very hard, very efficiently and very quickly. There was only him to greet guests, show them to a table, explain the format, take cooked breakfast orders, deliver the cooked breakfast, clear tables, try and replenish the buffet, crockery, cutlery, juices, cereals, breads etc. Always with a willingness and smile. In my opinion there should be 2 members of staff on in the Breakfast Room. This would enhance the Customer Experience and assist the very capable Gary. Festive Dinners were excellent. Served hot cooked well, served in a timely manner and delicious. All excellent value for money and great choices of menu. Special mention goes to Chris who demonstrated a nice banter with his customers. Chris also sorted my meal discounts out. I would eat at Brewers Fayre Craigside again and would recomend. Thank you.Parking: Excellent parking

10 of visited Craigside on Sunday (8 adults and 2 children) after doing a charity run and we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome! Our server Chris was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond for us all. Food was delicious, very very reasonable and service was spot on. Keep it up Chris and team! Thankyou for a lovely Sunday lunch :)

So we went to craigside brewers fayre for a big family meal as family were visiting from England and surprisingly it was pretty dead for an early Saturday evening which is peak time and highly unusual but the staff were all pretty miserable and unhelpful, they have a table set up for kids to be entertained whilst waiting for food but all of the puzzle boxes were empty, there was lots of colouring in pages which the kids were excited to do but not a single crayon in the place and any staff member we asked were very dismissive and short but after the unusually long wait for food when it did eventually come out it was all cold, really dry and overcooked which is becoming a regular occurrence now with brewers fayre it's going like an overpriced whetherspoons with worse food so i won't be wasting money in future I gave it a second chance just incase it was a bad night but it's just bad every time now.I hate leaving negative reviews and i don't want to offend anyone I'm just being honest about my recent experience in the hope maybe the company will give it a shake up to improve things.

Ordered fish and chips, choise of cod or haddock, bread n butter, couldnt eat it as chips were very pale fries with skin on ,not chips as shown in the menu, had to go and ask for bread n butter, also skin on the fish which wasant told about , not nice couldnt eat that either, told the barman i was alergict to shellfish so he changed my knife and fork,! not sure of the relavance, i ordered pancakes and strawberries for dessert but got banana , so that went back never happened before so the meal was spoiled, the waitress wasnt concerned, either, very poor.
