Twice now we have gone 30 minutes before they say they close to find they have already stopped serving. Staff indifferent. How the place has changed in the last year or so.

There's a nasty waitress that you can hear shouting and swearing in the back but you can hear her from the front of house. She was being very nasty to the other staff members working there which was upsetting to hear as I've been part of a toxic workplace before and its no fun. Not sure what her name is but I think she had a wig on. Needs to be replaced in my opinion as I had to leave because I had children with me.

We've been coming here most weeks for many years but today was the final straw. My meal the sausages were poor quality and not cooked correctly. My wife's pie of the day had more gristle than meat the peas were not cooked properly and had a funny taste. The chips had no flavour. I know the cafe has suffered many changes in staff, and I think they're now scraping the barrel. We've had bad food before and complained this time I didn't bother I don't think we'll go again. We are aware plans are being passed to re-alter the eating area and it may turn out to be just a drive-through which won't be good for anyone. Thank god Jesse's cafe is down the road, at least you can guarantee a properly cooked meal.

food was atrocious never coming here again ive been coming here for 12 years the food?s disgusting and the standards have slipped cold food raw food over cooked food all on the one plate absolutely disgusting

Arrived at 1 pm and was told there was a 20 minute wait for a sandwich. Ordered. Paid. And waited. And waited. And waited. Some of us had food after half hour. The rest asked for their money back after 1 hour 10 minute wait. Cafe express it is not

Just dropped into the café for a quick lunch on our way home from holiday. There was a good selection of food shown on a number of blackboards and the service was very prompt. My wife ordered a sandwich on brown bread but it arrived as white bread, as we were pressed for time she decided not to complain. However, when the waitress came to clear the plates she noticed what had happened, she apologised profusely, and insisted that we accept a full refund of the price. This level of good customer service is rarely found these days. We were very impressed and will now make a point of using the café whenever we pass that way again.

Looking at all the good reviews for this place, I have to assume I visited on a very bad day. The bun was literally stuck to the burger. After peeling it off as best I could, the meat tasted absolutely disgusting. I had one mouthful. The chips were plentiful but completely raw. Even though only two plates came out of the kitchen between me ordering and actually receiving my food, it still took 40 minutes.I'm not a great fan of MacDonalds but after this experience I know where I'll be stopping next time I'm in this neck of the woods.

We always stop here on a Sunday morning on our way into the Elan Valley. Have done for years. Never had any problems here. Food is always very good, at a reasonable price. They even cater for gluten free diets. You're guaranteed a decent brew, along with a peaceful few mins sit down. We will always continue to facture this place in to our family outings this way.

Stopped for lunch this week, super fast service, quantity and quality were very good as well, highly recommend this place. But ? a waiter with black painted nails? No thank you!

I've used this Cafe many times in the past and enjoyed the food but the toilets have deteriorated to such a point that I now pass it by and stop elsewhere. They really need to refurbish or I'm sure others will follow suit.

What a great breakfast, super fast service and a wonderfully cooked breakfast which really set us up for the day. Will definitely look forward to another visit when my route takes me past the door.

We have stopped here many times on our way to South Wales, the cafe is a good place for a well cooked breakfast or lunch. Great food and very good value. However the same cannot be said for the toilets. it?s a truck stop type of place so I don?t expect 5star but I do expect cleanliness, even more so in the uncertain times we are living through currently. We used the toilets on Tuesday on our way to South Wales and again today ( Friday) on our way back to North Wales. It was obvious they had not been cleaned properly in that time.

Nice and friendly place, quite large and airy. They had a gas cut whilst we were there so weren't able to do fry ups, but still managed to rustle us both up a more than decent hot meal each, that we really enjoyed. Thank you

Stopped here for a bite to eat whilst out on the motorbike with friend. This cafe is a popular stop for bikers and all customers and is by no means a " greasy spoon". Ordered 2 ham, eggs and chips for the two of us and our friend had jacket potato and tuna. Well our eyes popped when we saw our lunches, 3 huge slices of proper ham and two golden eggs and chips each and our friend had a super jacket and what can only be described as a small mountain of tuna with a salad garnish. I won't need to cook a dinner tonight. All served in double quick time. Excellent
