We planned a short walking break in the area and booked to stay three nights at Drovers from Monday to Thursday. However due to the inclement weather forecast we contacted Mike to find out if we could change our dates. He was most accomodating and everything worked out perfectly for us and we were able to do all the walks we had planned. The property is charming with private secure parking and Mike and Jill are great hosts, their attention to detail is fabulous. Our room overlooking the garden was lovely, very comfortable with good bed linen and good quality towels. The choice at breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked with good quality local produce. Llandovery is a very nice place to stay with a good choice of places to eat in the evening and some very nice small individual shops, the local museum is also interesting to visit and shows off the local history perfectly. Thank you Mike and Jill for a very nice stay.

Lovely owners, best breakfast I've had in a b&b, took their very sweet dog for a walk before turning in, lovely ambiance and charming place, friendly atmosphere, would come back...

Had a fantastic weekend stay with my partner. From walking through the door to shutting the gate on the car park we had a lovely time at the Drover's . We stayed in the Yellow room which was very comfortable, the bed being so comfortable that we both slept-in, so a bit late for Breakfast. Breakfast was yummy, the full Welsh set us up for the day, looking at all the options from the breakfast menu made me want to have a longer stay so I could try them all. Jill and Michael are excellent hosts and nothing seems to much trouble for them. we will be back.

Jill and Michael made us really welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and the building is just beautiful. Beautifully decorated and full of charm. Situated in the centre of charming Llandovery with plenty of beautiful places to visit nearby. Thank you Jill and Michael for a thoroughly enjoyable few days.

Extremely rude owners. Landed gentry types. Expected you to behave as if in the company of the Royal family, rather than enjoy the experience in your own way. I've had better service in a back street cafe in mogadishu

Everything you would wish for in a B&B. Welcoming hosts, great location, parking, best night sleep in lovely bed linen, very clean, beautiful decor and an interesting historical building, and then wake up to a very personal touch at breakfast with newspapers, dogs, guests, Mike and Jill , and of course a very tasty locally sourced, home made breakfast

My partner booked The Drovers for a Birthday treat and she made the perfect choice for a 3 night stay.Having seen previous reviews mention checking in first, that's exactly what we did and then Mike met us round the back of the hotel and helped us back our car in. He took us to the Pink room, great choice if you want a lovely relaxing bath and the bed was huge and amazingly comfortable (gave us 3 nights of great sleep). The breakfasts were for me the best I've had in any hotel/B&B, and I've had quite a few good ones over the years, the full Welsh (?) consisted of local sausages and bacon and were always delicious. Both Mike & Jill were friendly hosts and took an interest in our day trips out and gave recommendations on where to eat, The Plough at Rhosmaen being a great choice. All in all we had a lovely time there and will be back next year on our next Welsh road trip.We thoroughly recommend The Drovers..

We've had a lovely stay at the Drovers B&B recently. My husband and I had an impromptu trip across to Wales so that I could attend an interview and we booked into the Drovers B&B as it came up as the best choice for the town. Unfortunately, we didn't leave home at the time we'd hoped and our 200 mile journey took us longer than we'd expected. However, we were welcomed warmly despite the late hour of arrival and shown into a lovely, clean, warm room. Just what we needed after a long day. After a good night's sleep, and a fantastic shower (we live in a tied cottage with a dribble of an excuse of a shower so this was a great treat), we were treated to a lovely cooked breakfast with some great local produce. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming. We were really grateful for the owners to have accomadated our late arrival and letting us check out a little later. It made a stressful time a little easier for me. I would definitely recommend this B&B and I would love to return under more relaxed circumstances.

We cannot recommend this establishment enough, Jill went out of her way to accommodate us in the early evening on cur late arrival without a reservation!! Lovely comfy bed with good quality bed linen and bathroom essentials, a lovely power shower as well. Breakfast the following morning was delicious, prepared by Jill and Michael, freshly cooked and interesting combinations on offer. Plus their homemade preserves and jams! No hesitation in recommending this establishment.
