Beautiful stained glass windows. Very well kept church. Open and spacious. It has a warm, calming effect on you.

Called in to our local church to support them as they were holding a Saturday afternoon tea for locals & visitors. We had a lovely time socialising & the tea offered with scone&jam, welsh cake was delightful.

St Teilo's Church in Llandeilo is a medieval church standing on the site of a far older Christian community.Legend says Teilo established the community in the 6th century but nothing remains of this time. The natural spring beneath the church, St Teilo's spring, may be the reason the saint chose this location. The tower is the oldest remaining section but much of the church was rebuilt in the 18th century. A further modern refurbishment occured far more recently and has added a balcony and more facilities to the narthex.Although the original copy now resides in Lichfield, the Llandeilo Gospels (or St Chad's Gospels) were found in the church. Product of an 8th century monastic scriptorium, the manuscript is also the oldest example of written Welsh language as the margins and blank spaces contain a fascinating memoranda of the communities possessions and transactions.Parking at the church is surprisingly difficult.
