We were on holiday here in goytre wharf and we walked up on the 2nd night to be approached with happiness and kindness from all staff. The food and atmosphere was second to none.
We loved it that much we were due to go to another restuarnt for food but ended up walking the extra 20 mins to come to the starr instead.
On the Sunday we got ourselves booked in for a sunday roast. All we can say is AMAZING!
My son drew a picture and they put it up behind the bar. We will be back next year to check its still up ?

We had the pleasure of visiting this pub yesterday evening after a walk with our dog, we drove past and fancied a pint on a nice summers evening, we have a st bernard so wasn't too sure if they'd allow us inside (knowing how slobbery they can be), we were welcomed very warmly with all the staff saying hello to our beautiful boy and offering treats, service was great and we will be back to taste the food very soon! Thank you!

popped in for lunch today, fab faggots and peas along with tasty sausage and mash and a fine brace of fish and chips "scummy" oh and onion gravy to die for it's ***** from us we will be back.

Small cosy pub, just off the main road, nice meals and friendly staff. Can get crowded of an evening, but, then, it wouldn't get crowded if it wasn't popular. Just don't tell anyone. ?

Only had a roll but was real nice and lager quenched my thirst was very warm and sunny day and was out eating and doing in pub garden
