We were on Holiday in Wales, we are coming from the Netherlands. My husband found this quilt adress for me. What a pleasure to look around, I directly phoned our daughter to watch by phone the lovely fabrics and panels.I bought for me and her some fabrics. What a fabulous shop! Very friendly staff, met Kate who was extremely welcoming. The fabric range is outstanding they had exactly what I wanted?? plus more. The layout of the shop is so different with a room dedicated to a designer or a theme. If your a quilter or just love sewing definitely worth a visit

MASSIVE selection of fabrics staff are super helpful, everything is at maximum selling prices couldn?t see any offers or special deals. Sadly still not add to basket shopping shopping over the phone is hopeless idea I like to look and compare before deciding, just spent £150 on fabrics for a wedding quilt top else where, my client and I were able to select the fabrics online together as we live hours apart. I would prefer to shop local ?

Fantastic shop! Excellent choice of fabrics with a very helpful and efficient staff member. I was looking for fabric for a friend and the pieces chosen were carefully labelled so my friend was able to order her choice later over the phone. The fabric arrived the next day. Superb service, highly recommended.

I have been lucky enough to visit this beautiful shop on several occasions over the last 5 or 6 years.Unfortunately I won't be calling in again to view the wonderful fabrics as Kate (the owner) was exceptionally rude to us on our last visit.It's such a shame as the other ladies who work there are lovely.

A massive range of materials in the dozen or so rooms that make this shop, but what kept me entertained was the range of quilts and other decorations that adorned the walls. Staff were friendly and helpful, too, thank you

Anybody who has ever visited Calico Kate knows how wonderful this Aladdin's cave is and the staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and cheerful at the same time as being professional. Love it!

This shop is fantastic! Be aware that it's mainly geared towards quilting so it's mostly cotton - but still great for many dress making projects if that's your thing. But OMG there is a huge selection of cotton fabrics, haberdashery and wool too, spread over a dozen different rooms. Kate (owner) and Lesley are lovely and so helpful. Your only problem will be too much to choose from.

Popped in to get some wadding after being inspired by the quilting exhibition next door. It was very tempting to come out with a lot of stuff than I planned. As well as a huge choice, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a small sheltered garden and seat at the back so you can leave your partner to play of their phone while you have a good look around.
