Spotted this cafe on my travel back from Pembrokeshire when i passed through kidwelly. The cafe its self is a quaint place easily spotted on the main road, as i entered i was seated by friendly young staff member with menus. The prices even in this day and age seemed extreme but thought id give the benefit of the doubt that the food would be worth the cost, order a latte, a Jacket with beans and cheese then a scone, the food was mediocre and all store bought so i don?t know why the charge so high, but unfortunately i had the dishonour of meeting the owner, She has a cold demeanour about her and saw her berating a staff member quite harshly then overheard her bad mouthing that same member of staff to another while i was in the bathroom, I understand telling off a staff member but to then go to another member of staff is horrid! I payed and left in a hurry after tipping the youngster, i don't mind paying a fair amount to small businesses but do better in treating your staff, they are the only reason you are still open! with her demenour she wouldnt last without those employees who made the stop worth it! Do Better!

Shown to an outside tabke with wobbly / broken, very uncomfortable iron chairs with no cushions. Waited nearly half an hour to be served, then left

Dog friendly which is a bonus. Nice outdoor seating area. Good food, friendly staff. Had to wait a while for food but they had just had 20 people turn up before us. We were kept up to date on timings and had an apology for the delay. What more could you ask for. Deffo return.

Called in today for coffee and scones. Coffee was good but the wait of 30 mins for scones was a bit long. Was expecting something a little more special than a tiny shop bought one from a multi pack. And at a price of over £18 for 2x coffees, 2x scones and dog ice cream ! ?

Over £17 for two coffee and cakes, albeit with oat milk. Really way too expensive.
Nothing special and a bit grubby with a couple of lacklustre youngsters on service.

The last of its kind of cafe, long gone are the days of character and history in cafes. Clearly the owner has been here 20 years and is ever proud, they must be doing something right?
The place of full of legacy and family - the walls adorned, the machines aged and elegant - There?s atmosphere and music all enriched by the smells of ingredients, coffee and sheer will and love of labour.
Long gone are these cafes, we now get to look forward to the empty shells with plastered walls, absense of character and charm? we are all living in waiting rooms so time for tea is a breathe of air to the past. The food is absolutley excellent.. you can taste the quality of ingredients in the food, this isn?t a skimp - A cafe that wants to fill you with goodness and let you carry that with you on your day. I?d prefer to pay that little extra because going out is a treat and yous Gould spoil yourself.
I noticed the staff are youngsters trying thier best to learn and grow and what an opportunity, the community is lucky to have someone who wants to employ and train youngsters. They are not perfect, but should they be. Young minds with thier imperfections learning to grow and think - it?s a blessing to see and they work hard.. it?s so much more enjoyable because it?s natural and true. I think we strive for perfections? but it isn?t quite real.. give me the beauty around the imperfections because that in itself is perfectly missing.
What a blessing - I was fortunate enough to meet the security dog who is such a little bundle of a sweetheart - like his owner comes to work everyday to make your day just a little better. Sweet bunch, perfect honesty in harmony!

We visited this quaint, clean and pleasant tea room to have lunch before a walk. The feel of the room was very friendly with pleasant and helpful staff. The food was delicious and good value. We plan to return soon.
