Visited this last week a few of times, for both food and drinks while we were on holiday.
The food was fantastic as were the drinks and service.
An absolute gem of a pub, wish we lived closer. Thank you so much, especially when we brought the grandkids and you were so lovely with them and even supplied small cutlery.
Can?t wait until we are next in the area xx

This is a lovely country pub with delicious food. We visited twice whilst on holiday in the area and really enjoyed our visits. The food was a cut above typical pub food, and had generous portions. The garlic prawn starter in particular was delicious. The staff and locals were friendly. We will happily visit again if we're in the area.

Midweek lunch here. We can recommend the rump steaks and the beer.
Beautiful old pub with a friendly welcome.
Thoroughly recommend trying this pub.

A party of 6 catered for very nicely thank you. Food came quite quickly and we all ordered different things. Sorry no photos of our meal but we were too busy eating it! My cod was lovely , others steaks disappeared quickly enough and all very tasty. Pleasant welcome and we will be back very soon.

Took my parents here for Sunday lunch. We only live in Knucklas and have passed this place many times and have always wondered what it's like. Made the booking over email with Sue. Arrived on time and we were seated straight away. The feel of the pub is old school. Nice atmosphere. We all ordered the Sunday lunch. Two Pork, one beef and one mixed meat. The food arrived within 10 mins. It was hot and very nice. We then went for desserts. Two cheese boards, one ice cream and one creme brulee. Again. Very nice. Over all the meal was lovely. Really nice. Very well priced . The staff were very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place. Will be going again.

Martin's food is very much better than the norm for a village pub. And the beer is excellent. If you're in the area, give it a go.

Lovely country pub, great food and a friendly welcome. Closed on Mondays. Check google for opening times so you are not disappointed. Dogs not allowed inside but are welcome outside in the beer garden. Recommend.

Fanatic little pub,
We stopped for Sunday lunch and a pint as we were within driving distance.
Drinks were very reasonable price (very)
And the food was outstanding the 3 courses for 20 pounds was incredible. The team who served us were very welcoming and polite.
The atmosphere in the pub was clearly that of a local village pub. But at no point did we feel unwelcome or like outsiders.
I definatly recommend it!
We will visit again if in the area for sure
