My Husband and I attended a beautiful wedding here this weekend, and what a wonderful time we had. Excellent staff who were very attentive, and genuinely happy to help. Jane stood out in particular, always with a smile on her face, seemingly enjoying the day as much as we were. Thank you to the whole team :)
Lovely food, drink and rooms. Will definitely be back!

The best Sunday Roast..the pork fell apart and the crackling was perfect..my friend had the beef and agreed you would find the whole Sunday lunch would be very difficult to beat..service was excellent and the staff really friendly ?

Lovely bar and outdoor area? food was excellent? and the Kronenberg Blanc was superb. Really polite and friendly staff. Definitely visit again.

Overall a nice place to stay, bar area very nice, breakfast delicious although with limited choice. When we got to our room, we initially thought it was perfect. On closer attention the bathroom fell below expectations. Cleanliness, we found a long hair on the toilet pan and a dirty sink, under the plug. We reported these issues and were told they would be fixed.
On returning to our room after a meal out, the hair had been removed, however the sink was not completely clean. During our stay we found that the sink plug must have some sort of blockage, as the waterways slow to drain, this may account for the dirt. The toilet flush also stuck, resulting in us having to keep releasing it.
I would have expected there to be toiletries, this is the only place we have visited that did not have any.
The staff were friendly, I would not stay here again based purely on the cleanliness of the bathroom.

Ideal location for me on the way to and from my hotel in Broxton to the Eisteddfod Maes in Wrexham. Called in a few times on my daily trips. Food was always of good quality with quick efficient service.

Nice little pub, gluten free food was very tasty and dogs allowed in their outdoor area. Had a very pleasent Sunday roast dinner. Pavlova was very average and expensive compared to the other deserts on offer, would use again though. Pics of sticky toffee and pavlova puddings.

Took our family to The Cock o Barton for Sunday lunch (6 of us), it was excellent, hot tasty food & lots of it. Great service (Josh). Lovely venue, will revisit.

We came as a family of 9, in which upon arrival we expressed that we would be having other people joining us, which would take our total up to 19. They struggled to bring out dishes. We had an hour wait for main and 20 min wait for desert.

Only called for a drink, looks very old from outside, nice inside, very modern and well kept. They do a good Sunday B&B deal.

this was our fourth trip. we went back as we had enjoyed the food in the past. We went for lunch on the Thursday and i had steak burger. It was o.k but messy to eat as the bun was not big enough for the burger and not worth the money. We had booked weeks prior for the following night also as we didnt want to turn up on a Friday and be turned away and it was my wifes birthday. It was very hot weather with no fans or air con but the windows were open which caused wasps to come in. Also, disappointingly, the menu was exactly the same as the lunch menu the previous day minus sandwiches. Had we realised this, we would not have booked. A speciality was fishcake with salad which i ordered but was very disappointed. Im sure t had been deep fried, was dry and hard and more like a potatoe cake. The salad was nice. I dont hink we will return which is shame as weve always enjoyed it prior to this trip. i will include pics of the fishcake.

Brilliant place. Staff are wonderful and attentive, food was amazing, half a smoked chicken more like a full chicken. Kids loved their food and even though they don't have their favourites on the menu, all were impressed by what they chose.
