Very accommodating. We got there late afternoon, kitchen had just closed, but landlady made us some delicious small plates at a very reasonable price. Drinks were fine, a good selection too. Couldn't ask for more.

Bar staff amazing sue the bar maid is amazing sweet and really chatty made us feel very welcome , Shea smashing cook as well enjoyed our meals.Affordable and a lovely place. Lots friendly locals to. A must visit place.Again thank you Sue.

Had previously visited for Sunday lunch with my elderly parents, both hard of hearing and approaching they're 90s. The 1st time we visited it was your Sunday lunch brought to your table & served by the waitress. Upon the visit the landlady lisa looked as though she needed a good wash, poor hygiene greasy hair not what u would expect in a food establishment. Swearing in front of customers her mouth and manners are absolutely disgusting, I felt quite embarrassed to be sat there hearing this but due to them.being hard of hearing I don't think they caught what she was talking about. She swans around bossing people and I could hear was her talking so loud it really wasn't a relaxed afternoon. We decided to give it a try the 2nd time walked in said we had booked was orderd to sit ,at a table that hasn't been cleaned. Requested the table to be cleaned, sat there for approx 20 mins unknown to us that we just go up as now it's a carvery , we walked to get our lunch Lisa was so rude serving as she served my parents she told them to.hurry up as my dad was unsure what meat he wanted he's nearly 90 with dementia, she was rude and vile hurried them along and said come on I want to go down my caravan today hurry up. No.mash potatoes, food like warm 1.slab meat absolutely disgusting, sat at the table asked waitress could we order drinks was told order at bar i had to leave my food que for.10 mins as boy behind bar was talking seen me in the que mind, my food my freezing. Within 10 minutes had waitresses saying have u finished we said no,they kept coming over in the end insoad yes I've finished, unknown they swiped my dads plate without him finishing his meal. Asked the desert menu was told cheesecake asked was there anything else was told no.just want empty the pub I want go down.my van. Very reluctant I paid the bill will.never ever visit again. Landlady is a vile foul-mouthed women who had no respect for the elderly. I will also be taking this further as I think k.its disgusting how we were treated and when u go out 4 lunch u don't expect to.be treated like this. Place looks rundown and in need of new management.
