My first ever visit to Hay on Wye, found this wonderful cafe and ordered a coffee and a sandwich, which was all perfect. There were many interesting choices for me as a vegetarian so I will go back for sure! Real bakery bread too which is always a bonus. Staff were great. I took a t/a flapjack up onto the top of Hay bluff which was also delicious. Thanks Cosy Cafe!Vegetarian options: Chickpea coronation with lime foccacia sandwich was amazing and packed a flavour punch! Served with crisps and non mayo slaw. YUM!

Lovely cafe in the heart of Hay on Wye (a stunning beautiful town). We always stop here for coffee or a bite to eat when we?re in Hay. Really welcoming atmosphere and the coffee is great. Well worth a visit to refresh before hitting all the bookshops!

Actually really really disappointed that it shut early today (we arrived 15.50) on Sunday afternoon so well more than an hour before official closing. We had come all the way from Kington having checked opening times on Google. We had to go to Shepherds which is packed. 4-7 on a Sunday afternoon is a really dead period. You could have some music coming on at 5 or something or some event each week to encourage people. It?s such a lovely place by come on Cosy Cafe this isn?t good enough. Now next time I think I won?t bother. We weren?t the only disappointed ones

Love it. Friendly, bustling coffee shop in the middle of Hay on Wye. We had coffee and cake here one afternoon- liked it so much we returned the next morning for breakfast (fried eggs on rye bread, fried bacon on bagel, mug of "builders tea."Would recommend. Service, food and vibe spot on.

Decided to try this place for a change, we arrived and found seats in what appears to be a warm relaxing environment; we studied the menu whilst waiting to be served only to be told that they had stopped serving ! Menu advises 3pm and we were ready to order by 2.25pm ! No reason was given as to why they weren't serving food, however we decided to order drinks, one tea, one coffee and one can of pop and even that took ten minutes to arrive. Very poor for what appeared to be a nice cafe

The owner is the rudest person we've ever been served by.When we commented to ourselves how long service was taking the owner came right up to us and aggressively barked "yours is next!"Definitely no tip and won't return.
