Oscars Bistro is a lovely eatery in Hay on Wye. Their burgers are really good. The cafe is not dog friendly, but they do have some seating outside that is dog friendly. The place is quite popular, so we had a bit of a wait on our visit. Well worth it though.

I ordered a quiche with side salads. The quiche base pastry and eggy middle were decent, but my main issue with it was the size of the onion chunks.
