We booked the Rose and Crown as a surprise meal for my mum's 80th birthday and it did not disappoint. The staff allowed us to turn up early with flowers, balloons and table decorations and they did the decorating for us. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Good clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Evening food is very good. Staff polite , helpful and friendly. Only criticism is breakfast. Previously there were better options and nothing too much trouble.
