Had a really lovely time for Sunday lunch today with our two pups who had never been to a pub before. Very warm welcome, even got two towels for our pups to lie on as we just got back from a very long walk. Very dog friendly with their dog menu too, and better still our roast was beautiful. Will def be back when we come back over for a walk.

Amazing food. Best jam sponge and custard! Staff were lovely and friendly. I didnt get the ladies name but they were a credit to the pub. Highly recommend ??

Stopped here after poor weather meant cutting a trip short. We were welcomed warmly and offered a table next to a stunning log burner. The pub was cozy with a great selection of real ales and beer. We could choose from a full menu or lunch offers, a great choice on both from soup of the day, to burgers, steaks or curry (vegi & vegan options too). We opted for steak and ale pie a d homemade curry. Both were delicious and came with chunky real chips. Desserts looked wonderful, but mains filled us up...maybe next time! ?

We had a fantastic meal that was tastey, modestly priced for the beautiful quality. Everything brought out was hot, and brought at the the same time. There was plenty of gravy- which was lovely. I had the prawn cocktail, Lamb and beef dinner Chocolate tiffin. The chocolate cremeux was fantastic. Having been a waitress and in catering myself for many years, I was very impressed by the level of service (I didn?t catch the gentleman?s name, but he did mention to my partner he had been doing it for 20 years when my partner complimented the level of service he provided) Paying the bill was easy and simple, all of the staff were confident and didn?t appear to be flustered under presssure.

Booked a table for the Friday after Christmas. Planned on a family walk to the falls with a lunch after. We arrived and was greeted by a very friendly lady. We ordered drinks and three mains me another and my son. Now my son is incredibly fussy. We asked could he have the children?s chicken nuggets as an adult main as he?s autistic. They were happy to do this. Two steak and ale pies one with chips and mash and cheese garlic bread. I know the waitress was worried as my son hardly touched his but honestly he?s so fussy. We tried some and it was fine. The bread was amazing he loved that. The steak and ale was stunning, mash was lovely. Only negative is the menu said it came with garden peas and there were no peas. Other than that it was lovely. A bit pricy £71 for three of us but good quality food. Would come back, without the fussy son!

We had the best warm and friendly welcome when we visited today with our young Labrador dog! We haven?t had such impressive friendly greeting from servers in many years, they seated us with smiles, a few laughs and the pub had a very comfortable vibe, Christmas tunes playing, cosy fire near bar, fairly busy for a Winter Sunday but nice happy buzz. Just what we needed after long walk. The staff were super dog friendly offering a towel and treats for her. Natalie was our waitress, very bubbly fun character and it nice to have a few laughs with her. She did a great job at making us feel relaxed. It was funny when asked about having roasts and she instantly said what would the dog like as they offer meat trimmings for dogs. Such unusual touch but certainly enjoyed by our lab. Our roast dinners were delicious too, nicely cooked meat and separate bowls of veg and gravy. Desserts were homemade and also very decent portion sizes. Such hearty pub dishes and the best atmosphere which unfortunately we have lost in most British pubs now days!! Definitely stop in there for food or drink, thanks to Natalie and staff for making us so welcome and you gave a good Christmas buzz. Hope to be back one day!

Went here on the evening of Wednesday 6th December, for the Christmas menu? So I had a starter, main, and dessert, I had the Christmas dinner which was nothing like the previous review stating it was the worst meal ever? My Christmas dinner was the best I?ve had in along time? I didn?t mind it was plated, it made it look nicer in my opinion, The turkey was cooked lovely, the vegetables were the best I?ve had (even better than my own) it was so nice I may return for a second time? I had the Christmas pudding for dessert, like my Christmas dinner there was no fault, the pudding and the brandy sauce was lovely, having read the previous review, I?M not really sure how there making out there food was so bad? Mine was fine, perhaps they had something wrong with their tastebuds? Another thing the service was 5 star, so if your after a lovely Christmas dinner with fine Christmas tunes and 5 star service, then this is the place to go.

Went here for my birthday, lovely food as always, great atmosphere, really nice staff, plenty of choice on the menu? If you haven't been hear yet, you need to try it?

We went here as a last minute booking for Sunday lunch and they were very accommodating. It was very busy even though a wet windy day and there was a small wait for our table. Once seated, the food arrived quickly and was very tasty. The hostess Natalie was very friendly and helpful and dealt with any questions promptly. The food selection for our dog was also great value and Vinny opted for a dish of roast beef for £4! The dessert was very nice but fiddly trying to put the cream into the crumble which was in a cup. Aesthetically pleasing but slightly impractical! Vinny rated it 10/10.

Thank you for lovely dinner after the waterfall walk. We were soaked because of the waterfalls and the staff found a nice table for us and put the heating on. The food was delicious - we had tomato soups, roasted duck, grilled seabass and lamb shank and everyone was very satisfied with their meals. I would also like to give warm praises and thanks to lovely waitress Natalie who accommodated all our needs and was also funny and understood all of my dad's jokes ?

supper friendly, considerate and accommodating staff.Excellent menu, and the food was 5*location is slightly hidden away and would not have found if not for googlePet friendly and highlight was that they have a proper pub food menu for pets and even provided a towel for the dog!will definitely go there again when we are in Wales next time.

Perfect Sunday lunch!Very welcoming to dogs!All the staff were attentive and made sure we weren't wanting anything.The food was delicious and all of the desserts were home made.It was a delightful meal, we will definitely be back!Thank you

Just had a great lunch here. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Really cosy place with the fire going. Food was really tasty, especially the chips. They even had a dog menu for the pooches.
