Great light lunch on a Sunday, good portion size tasty food and very welcoming staff. Sitting outside in the sunshine can't beat it. We will be return again before our holiday is over, thanks again!

Fabulous stay at the Dolaucothi Arms. It is an ideal place to explore mid Wales from. Estelle looked after us really well. Providing both a first class dinner and breakfast. The pies are highly recommended, the curry was very tasty , and there is a good selection of beverages behind the bar! The bedroom was really comfortable and we slept like rocks. Thank you again, hopefully we will be back soon.

Dear Dolaucothi Arms Hotel,
How nice it was to stay with you and relax in your pleasant hotel. To have a personalised menu is unique (though, perhaps, you over-indulged us!). Knowing that we were in the centre of the site of a Roman fort, where long ago soldiers had slept so close to us, did not disturb our rest. We can sincerely recommend the experience.

This is a smashing little place. Only four bedrooms which makes it a very personal experience. Estelle is a non stop hostess preparing super meals and ensuring the hotel runs smoothly. Our bedroom overlooked the garden and was clean, very comfortable and with en suite shower. Adrian is out and about with the dogs and the birds. The falconry experience is quite remarkable, you've never seen a bird of prey until you have an owl or a falcon sat on your gloved hand. The bar is well stocked including pint size bottles of real ales. Relaxation, enjoyment and letting the cares of the world drift away, that's the Dolaucothi Arms!

Dalaucothi Arms is a true gem in the middle of a picturesque part of Wales. Estelle and Ade are amazing hosts, truly passionate about what they do. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. The food was delicious (those pies are to kill for!), the room was clean, cozy and quiet. We also very much enjoyed meeting Ade?s birds of prey and learning about those fascinating creatures! Truly incredible experience, we will be back :) Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience, 2 nights away on a biking trip, rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and clean, the best nights sleep I've had in ages. The food was delicious, and plentiful, be careful of the steak and ale pie - you might want to share it! To top it all off.. an amazing half day falconry with Ade - a birthday treat. And the riding was just stunning.. reservoirs, mountains, windy roads, hardly any traffic, and we got lucky - sunshine every minute of our trip. I will definitely be visiting again. Estelle was the perfect hostess, nothing was too much, thank you Adela x

Get away from it all. Peace and quiet with excellent service and lovely food.
Comfortable beds and everything you need.
Bit surprised there was no TV in the room but that just made us do more..

We came to this lovely pub for a meal as we were staying in the area. The staff and the locals in the bar were really friendly and we had a lovely evening. Food was excellent too, we had the beefburgers.
