Telephoned pub... fabulous response from owner...turned up after opening time...had bowls of cawl with cheese warm selection of breads & salted butter...delicious ? ...throughly enjoyed...looking forward to returning visit..

Great old school pub. Excellent beer and top Landlady. Great supporters of local independent lifeboat. Haven't eaten there but hear food is very good.

If you enjoy being greeted like a door-to-door salesman at dinner time, this is the pub for you. The staff have truly mastered the art of passive-aggressive glaring, and their complete lack of enthusiasm is almost impressive. Walk in expecting a smile, and you?ll leave wondering if you accidentally insulted someone?s mother just by existing.

I find the owner extremely rude not welcoming. music nights are fun but this place really needs new publicans to add personality and life. Such a shame and waste for the only pub in the village. I would not go back I've banned myself .

This is a lovely pub. It has all the elements you need for a successful pub... a lovely warm welcome, a great selection of drinks and a lovely friendly atmosphere. They have great bands come and play here. They have a huge heart for the local life boat and raise money for them. They really love their local community and it comes through in all that they do. It is a pub with passion. We have really enjoyed our visits here with our pizza van. We look forward to returning in June to do pizzas at the Garden Crawl to help raise money for the life boat. It is amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit. The whole village comes together to welcome visitors and offer a trail of activities and gardens to visit. It is heart warming to see and be part of
