An outdated pub that relies on the beautiful views of Bannau Brycheiniog to make it special. The food was old fashioned eg a plated prawn cocktail. Steak and veg were all over cooked. Pie was just served with a pile of garden peas. Limited choice of beers. Drinks were warm so we had to ask for some ice. The girls were very sweet but were unsure of things like the pie of the day, and the soup. Never good when sauces, and milk for tea, are served in plastic sachets. Limited parking on this busy road. Obviously been a good pub but needs a facelift and we appreciate the current economy makes that hard.

A wonderful, cosy restaurant pub and inn. Good hearty homemade food, clean rooms, really friendly atmosphere and stunning scenery. Warm recommendations.

First time at the Ford Inn and I can?t praise it enough! I am dairy intolerant and in this Inn I was able to eat the same vegetables as my friends. All it took was putting one serving aside which wasn?t dressed with white sauce or butter. Simple! The lamb dinner was the best I?ve had in a long, long time! Thank you.

On a hot day, it was stifling inside with no air-conditioning or fans. I had scampi, which was very average - mostly battery, tasteless chips. Peas were good!

Making extra money off of poor service while understaffed. Got my food after everyone had finished and expected me to still pay for it. Worst of all, the curry had one piece of meat in it. Disappointing considering how nice the location is.

If I could give Maria and her team 10 stars out of 5, I absolutely would.
Maria was the most professional, friendly, flexible and extremely accommodating host. Our choir, Cantorion Cyfarthfa, were singing at Peterstone Court today for one of our member?s daughter?s wedding. As soon as I rang Maria to book, she understood completely that we were unsure of timescales etc. We even had to amend our booking and again, she was so kind and accommodating. She actually kept the pub open for the 14 of us!
Every single meal was freshly cooked and delivered together. All our meals were homemade, hot and absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were also very generous too. We felt no pressure at all to rush and we actually felt so relaxed there. So we stayed for more drinks and dessert too. So reasonably priced.
We chatted to Maria and her staff for quite a while and we have already organised a return booking for later in the year.
What a treat and I would 100% highly recommend this little gem with THE most stunning views of the Beacons ?
Now to get hubby to bring me for lunch one day ??
