Lovely old venue in beautiful surroundings, and with plenty of adjacent parking. Food is top notch, small portions but beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, and that applies to all three courses. Absolute works of art. Quite expensive, but if you're up for treating yourself, then The Felin Fach Griffin should be well up on your list of options.

Service is friendly and welcoming. Restaurant is quite expensive for what it is - small portions and formulaic

My second time for lunch, and this time we hadn't booked which I knew was a risk!
But we were found a table and experienced friendly and professional service from start to finish. Of course delicious food, too! And drinks with a lot of non-alcoholic options promoted for us drivers. A must-stop for anyone travelling around the Beacons or to Hay.

We took my parents to the Felin Fach Griffin and stayed two nights with dinner, bed and breakfast this weekend. I've stayed three times now and always enjoyed the experience. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, (shower is wonderful, Welsh cakes in the room, comfy bed) the cooking and food are very good and the Inn itself is lovely. It's a great place to relax; it isn't fussy and the staff are really kind.

I normally find pub roasts disappointing but this place was a nice surprise as it was cooked and put together with great care! A very welcoming atmosphere too, just wish there were more beer options on tap.

The Felin Fach Griffin is my safe place :-)
Having been there for nearly two decades now, it never disappoints. I love the charm and lovely Welsh friendliness.
We were there to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday, and every course was divine. Between us, we had the salmon, beetroot, and lamb. For main the roast lamb was sensational and the plaice was wonderful.
Desert was brilliant too - the lemon cake was off the scale.
The Felin Fach Griffin do food and drink very well and with it comes fabulous Welsh hospitality and a very comfortable environment.
Thank you for helping make this a special day for us! A special thank you to Gwen, Alex, Sam Emily, Adam, Harry and Ffion for singing happy birthday in Welsh!!
Kind regards,

We went for Sunday lunch at 3pm today. The food, service, ambience could not have been better. This is a fantastic place to eat. I am gf and the options were spectacular, almost the entire menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant /pub. Ardderchog ?????

From booking over the phone to being sat at our table , it was easy and very pleasant, the atmosphere in the eating area was spot. The food was amazing !!! And out of this world! Add that to the quick service and lovely waitress and it?s worth every penny.
In short if you?re in the area it?s a must visit.

One of the best waiter services I?ve ever received on top of the greatest food.

Wonderful place. Truly incredible food from excellent chefs. Fantastic and friendly service. Great location as it's not far from Brecon, Llyswen, and Hay-on-

The food was excellent.
We only went for a meal on recommendation.
Be warned though, there is another Griffin nearby, so make sure you use the full address when using Google.

All agreed it was the best Sunday lunch. Ten out of ten. Presentation and quality of food was
impeccable. Service was excellent, professional and friendly. Thrilled to find chefs that clearly delight in producing meals to such a high standard. Looking forward to visiting again.

We kicked things off with a cockatil and they were delish, a classic Pina colada and a Maple Gin Fizz. £12 each.
The food is great here and a reasonably priced set menu. I went with the beef short rib with a sriracha Mayo and my wife had a watermelon, tomato and feta salad. We both really enjoyed these.
For mains, I had the lamb rump which was cooked perfectly, the sauce was so rich, really melt in the mouth stuff. Wife had the duck, which as you can see isn't the biggest portion and even with a side of greens, left her feeling a bit hungry, but tasty nonetheless.
A paring wine by the glass is suggested which was nice but we opted for a bottle of white to share, can't recall the name but £30 and was really crisp and dry.
One of the only faults we could pick out was that the kitchen played really loud music, so whenever waitresses were in and out, it kinda lowered the tone. We asked to move to the main room which was then absolutely fine.
2 course dinner, 2 cocktails, bottle of wine £150, so not bad at all for a really nice romantic meal out.
