Excellent stay here. Sue is a very welcoming host and we were delighted with the homely and relaxed atmosphere. Food was tasty and it was helpful to be able to get an evening meal. Special mention to the friendly Paddy (the pub Jack Russell).

Sue at this venue is a lovely lady. The place is clean, tidy, and extremely friendly. Even Paddy, the dog. Food cooked fresh and to a very high standard. Would recommend to anyone wanting peace and quiet.

Unpretentious pub with cosy comfy living-room atmosphere and friendly landlady. Food above-average quality and below-average price. Rather a gem ??

Sue the owner and host is fantastic, made us feel very welcomed in a warm and caring manner. Food was great, some homemade. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Had a great stay and defo be back when in the area.
Rooms: Comfy and clean
Food and drinks: Lovely homemade food.

If you want both the comfort and cleanliness of a 4-star hotel and the coziness of a B&B, look no further. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, high-standard ensuite bathroom. A very quiet location, in the heart of Brecon Beacons. Broad range of choices for breakfast: cooked English/Welsh, omelettes, cooked meats & cheeses, fruits. Dinner options are also great and include vegan and GF dishes. The ground floor has a traditional country pub feel. Overall, an amazing stay. Thanks, Sue, for hosting us!

Absolute gem of a pub, run single-handedly by the lovely (and super impressive Sue).
Beautiful setting and absolutely delicious cooked food. So friendly, so cosy, and great company in the form of Paddy the (very polite) pub dog.
So rare in that it is exactly what a pub should be.
Will definitely come again.

The Plough and Harrow was a good base for a couple of days in and around the Brecon Beacons. The room was traditionally furnished and comfortable. Possibly a bit cramped if you have lots of luggage though. Wi-Fi ok but it had a tendency to drop out unexpectedly.Breakfast was great. We also had a nice evening meal there one night and drinks at the bar.Check in time was a little late, but it worked for us as we were already in the area during the day.
