The chips we had from here were bad. A lot of the chips were rock solid and chewy and the rest were just average at best. The sausage was dry like it's been under the heat lamp all day. Overall the staff were nice but the food was dreadful

Previous experience last year not great with food but have returned on numerous occasions after new cook and things have very much improved and very happy.

Yet again perfect reasonably priced food from Shane's.

I've been going to Shane's for a good few years, having their iconic corned beef pie almost every time.
Recently, it's come under new management and Shane has seemingly stepped away. The quality has been on the decline for a while now, moving away from storing food under the heaters, and just microwaving everything, and the chips often tasting half cooked.
Now, the iconic corned beef pie has been changed. They've switched to a new provider, and it tastes more like a fish pie than a corned beef pie.
It's sad to see one of the best fish and chips shops in South Wales, change management and have such a drastic decline I'm quality. Unfortunately, I won't be going again

Bought for a friend and dropped off otherwise I would have returned the food. He was very disappointed. Batter on the fish wasn?t cooked and the cheese on the chips had a funny taste, said it was powdery. Girl behind the counter was lovely but won?t be returning.

Shane's Chippy is the best around, by far, sounds like an old cliche but I say it with conviction, The warmers are always fully stocked up with a variety of sides, chips are absolutely amazing with a very generous portion! The prices are incredibly low and the staff are just so absolutely friendly with nothing being an effort, go there once and you'll never go anywhere again! A chippy with the rarity of having a passion for what they do!
