Noteworthy details: Considering this was a dog friendly hotel it was spotless clean. The staff were amazing and very helpful no faults at all.

Wonderful hotel. Mike and Carrie were really helpful, friendly hosts. There was fabulous scenery. They have a rescue collie, named Lola, who is the sweetest, friendliest dog ever. Our apartment was spotless, and the full Welsh breakfast was superb. There was tv in our own private lounge, with the customary hot drinks facilities, with fruit and sweets on the coffee table for us. I couldn't imagine what the sound of running water was, until my daughter enlightened me. It was the River Conwy outside my window. There were earplugs available for those with sensitive hearing. Mine is definitely not sensitive, but I found the sound of the gushing water quite soothing, and I slept really well. Highly recommended!Nearby activities: An ideal spot for walkers. Having no male escort with me I couldn't say if it was romantic or not, but it certainly looks it...Walkability: No lift, so the stairs were hard work with those with a disability, like myself, but manageable. I would love to visit there again.Food & drinks: Breakfast was excellent. Alcohol was available, though I didn't indulge.

We?ve stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The hotel is very comfortable- we took a small suite of two bedrooms, a living room and two bath rooms. The hotel is situated next to a stream and in a lovely forest. The surrounding is beautiful and the hotel managers helped us find a good trip or tour yo at o every day. They were very welcoming and helpful, they made very nice hot breakfasts which were low priced but very good. It?s a great family hotel.

I had visited this place with my family including our little pup. Mike and Carrie were so warm and hospitable right from the moment we entered the property. They made us feel at home and really took care of us. The food was amazing and the kitchens were absolutely clean. The location of the property is at such a picturesque place and it is right by the river. The view is just spectacular and the property looks like a little castle right out of our story books. Highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to visit North Wales. Will definitely come back again and see you soon Mike and Carrie :)Top tip: Try the 'Mike's Mum marmalade' which is a part of the breakfast spread :DLots of love!

Very friendly family run hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean, and newly refurbished. Rooms were more like a proper flat, not like typical hotel.Nicely located on the hill away from the road, mansion with some history.Rooms: Flat like except no kitchen.Nearby activities: Nothing in walking distance.Safety: Isolated away from road, great for kids.Walkability: Car is a mustFood & drinks: Breakfast was great for kids. Adults English breakfast is at extra charge, but friendly priced.Noteworthy details: Friendly border collie dog and a cat who not afraid of people.

Stayed here 1 night with my Husband, Mother and 2 Nephews in the suite on the first floor. Great sleeping arrangement, double bedroom, twin bedroom and double sofa bed, main bathroom and ensuite in the twin room. Lovely lounge area with French doors to a balcony ( both bedrooms also had french doors and balcony ) Everywhere was spotless, face, hand and bath towels beautifully presented on the beds and fruit and sweets were awaiting us on the coffee table. The full English breakfast was one of the best we have ever had ( continental included but just £6 extra for full fry up) Plenty of room to park and only a 4 mile drive to Betws y Coed. Carrie and Mike are lovely hosts and Lola the the dog is adorable! We cant recommend this lovey place enough and will definitely return.

This place is being worked on by the current owners having been mistreated by previous owners. We honeymooned here 36 years ago and paid a brief visit. We didn't stay but the rented accommodation looks great and the potential of this place is huge. Keep an eye on the one.

We are a family from Ukraine who lived here for over a year and felt at home because our house in Ukraine was badly damaged and it was unsafe to stay at home. We came under the "Home for Ukrainians" program. Mike and Carrie went out of their way to make us feel as comfortable as possible. They didn't know us at all, but they let us into their home and family and treated us like family. I told them before arriving that my daughter plays the piano and they even took care of that because the piano was delivered before our arrival. They are very kind, sensitive, tolerant, wise and generous people. They put aside all their affairs, spent a lot of time to help us. I learned a lot from them and I will never forget all the good things they did for us.

Our family have just had the most wonderful stay this weekend and we will definitely be back! Our delightful hosts made sure we were so well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. This, along with such stunning scenery and a beautiful building, we got a great feeling as soon as we arrived. Lola, the gorgeous collie, was also there to make sure we all felt very welcome.Rooms: Clean, comfortable with excellent facilities. Such a peaceful rest, with only the river as any kind of background noise. Plus complementary fruit, sweets, toiletries...the list goes on!Food & drinks: What a delicious breakfast! A great continental selection and barista coffee combined with local produce cooked perfectly. Added to this, our hosts went the extra step to accommodate our early start.

We stayed here for one night and was very happy with the Rowan Suite. There was lots of lovely extras, such as chocolates and fruits. We also were given some tea on arrival by the friendly owners. The night itself was enjoyable as it was quiet. The beds were comfy and the suite was very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, we had the full English. We had a very enjoyable stay, definitely worth the money! Would recommend!Rooms: The rooms were very cozy and comfortable and well equipped with lovely extras.

This review is not about the hotel which I'm sure is very nice! - but just to flag up there is no cafe and hasn't been since before covid. So don't head here looking for the aforementioned excellent cakes and coffee because there aren't any!

We have stayed for 2 nights in the top suite with our 3 boys (smallest 3 years old) an we could not have chosen a better place to stay. It is easy to find, just left from the main road, although secluded as you have to cross a small bridge to get to the manor. When we arrived we were greeted with hot drinks and when we got up to the suite which consisted of 2 bedrooms, a sitting room and 2 bathrooms, there were fruits and sweets as well as a good selection of hot drinks. The rooms were modern, clean and great size, the view is to die for, in the background you can see a mountain and down front of you stream. I loved to sit outside and have a hot drink. The place was brilliant, they had toys for my little one, who really loved to stay there, he loved to play with their lovely doggy, who was ever so patient. The breakfast, which Mike cooked freshly in the morning was the best English breakfast I had! The next morning we had the cold breakfast, marmalade which was homemade, luckily we have bought 4 different types for only £10! They are super delicious! There is a lovely town in less then 10 minutes drive, which is Bewts-y-Coed. There are lovely restaurants and shops. 2 minutes away from Bewts-y-Coed, there is this beautiful waterfall, Swallow waterfall, which costs £2 per person, under 3s free, under 14 £1. Beautiful waterfall! In less then 30 mins drive is the Snowdon mountain which we used the Snowdon steam rail to climb, up to 2/3s. Mike and Carrie are great hosts and very knowledgable about the places to visit! Mike recommended us a great mountain to climb with the little one, which is close by and all kids loved the climb! I cannot wait to return there!
