My mom (83) had a salesman?# make her buy a chair wish she dident want as we had already made other arrangements. Had to cancel it and have payment returned.She had been asking for an engineer to come fix the one she had.Extended guarantee (Payed monthly since buying) but since covid (everyone's excuse) has not been successful.I found out that Adjustamatic had stopped sending engineers out as no longer can get parts. Still kepted taking monthly payments until I stopped them.I asked for a refund and only offered one payment. Very generous don't you think.Now I did a bit of research on Adjustamatic and found that thay claim to be members of:-The Furniture Ombudsman and British Furniture ManufacturersAdjustamatic ARE NOT registered with either.End result, my mom was in a mess and frightened to tell me what had been going on.Chair has been binned.And now i am NOT recommending this company to anyone.

Iv read all the reviews on this site now. But how I wish I?d done so before we spent £3500 with this rubbish company.We are old people I suffer with a really bad back, knees, and hips so sleeping was always a problem for me. So mr David Whittaker a salesman working for Ajustamatic came to see us. we tell him why we want two really comfortable beds. We ordered two single beds that fixed together with two separate mattresses. Mine was to be made especially for my weight and he did ask for my weight .my mattress,s was to fit the riser bed and husbands was a normal mattress that stayed flat.We. Got the beds in February the delivery men fixed the bed frames up and then said to us you have been sent a king mattress (not two separate mattresses) so, how can we sleep now only one bedroom with no old bed to sleep on.we were railroaded into taking the king mattress we have not had one good nights sleep since February 2023. Iv been in constant touch with the rep who sold us the bed mr David Whittaker as he told us if we had any problems with anything that we had purchased from Ajustamatic to ring or msg him which I did. And he would see to it that it got sorted out.After asking him to help us and telling him the two single mattress had not materialised just the king mattress. He said leave it with me you need the two single mattress?s as that s what you bought and paid for. Well nothings happened, Just useless promises.I rang customer service who said an engineer would call me to make an appointment to come and view the bed and indeed he did.I don?t think for one minute that he was a genuine engineer. Very nice man had tea and a chat told him all the problems we were having with the king mattress. There?s a huge hump in the middle of the mattress when we put the bed up to sit up position.. the hump throws us of balance. So we end up sleeping on the sides of the mattress. Both sides of the bed have now flattened they are hard and lumpy to sleep on.Neither of us get good sleep I?m lucky if I get 3/4 hrs and even then I?m awake trying to get comfy. But Ed the engineer said I will sort this out for you and customer services will be in touch with you to arrange a date for the single mattresses to be delivered. This can and will be sorted out for you both.Fantastic we say thank you so much for helping us it?s ok says Ed then off he goes. Well no one from customer services have rung me to arrange anything.So Friday the 6th October I ring customer services, I asked to speak to the general manager or ceo. as my complaint was of the utmost importance. She said I can help you! so I tell her what iv written here. she goes away from the phone then comes back to say we had ORDERED the KING mattress not two singles. it?s writen in black and white on my order form with x2 prices for single mattresss. She insists I did not order singles, so I told her about Ed?s visit and that he had seen all the bumf from the company including the recite, he agreed the king wasn?t what we ordered, and agreed that the hump was throwing us onto the sides of the bed. That we have to sleep on.She says NO he wouldn?t have said that!! I ask if she?s calling me a (Lier) she said no but she?s disagreed with everything I had told her using the phrase unfortunately repeatedly that many time on every point I made. I asked if they were going to do anything to help us but unfortunately yet again we were out of time to be liable for any help from them.SCAMMERS. Take your hard earned money then do nothing to help.IV BEEN IN TOUCH WITH THE FURNITURE OMBUDSMAN WHO HAS TOLD ME HOW THEY CAN HELP. IM ALSO GOING TO TRADING STANDERS OR CONSUMER SERVICES AS NOW I CANNOT USE THE BED SO I WANT MY MONEY BACK IN FULL,AND THEY CAN COME COLLECT THERE RUBBISH BED AND PUT IT WERE THE SUN DOESNT SHINE. DO I GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT AS A CARING PROVIDER OF quality BEDS NO I DO NOT.NOT A PLEASURE TO BUY FROM AJUSTAMATIC.DO NOT WASTE YOU HARD EARNED CASH BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY.

my mother in law has a reclining bed and a reclining chair from this company, she needs a new hand control and cable for the chair, she does not have a lot of money, but Adjustamatic have refused to sell me the parts and want to send out a person to fit the cable, the callout is £160.00 plus £20.00 for each further 15 minutes, the job is easy to do the cable simply unclips there are no exposed wires involved, this is a completely wrong and I will strongly suggest to the home that my mother in law lives in, not to buy any further chairs or beds from this company.

I purchased a bed from them 2yrs ago and it's still not working properly the bottom broke 3 days after it was installed the hydraulic went they have been to my property more than 12 times to fix or reinforce the bed even though I'm the only one that sleeps on well if you can call it sleep my spine is in a bad way and I been in constant contact with them and still no step further I'm back to square one with a bad spine and no sleep ? I am utterly exhausted by the lack of communication from them im disabledas they are aware of and still nothing.........been in contact with trading standards if you purchase is faulty and they have been out more than 3 times you are within your rights to ask for them to take said purchase back and they haven't bothered

Our bed has been noisy & bumpy when rising & lowering since bought.This was ignored, we just thought it nasty & normal.Now this is intolerable as I have btoken femur & pelvisEngineer has been out & recommds new mattresses as these are faulty. The company are still cosidering thi which dread pain in bed is exvcruciating & vompzny just just dnt give a @@@@

Worst company everI don't feel comfortable writing a review like this but I don't want other people to fall into the same trap we did. We spent almost £10,000 on a bed that seemed perfect for the health issues I was experiencing. Not long after we had it things began to go badly wrong. We called the company and waited 2 weeks for a reply to be told there was no one available and we would have to wait. A week later someone phoned so it was almost a month before it was fixed. The same thing has happened the many times we have had problems with it. The bed currently isn't working and we have been told we have to pay for repairs even though we were told we have a lifetime's warranty. I'm sure there are better companies out there who do a decent job but please don't trust this one.

After sorting out my late dad's estate, I found out he purchased a circulation stimulation therapy pad and massage hand unit. Both not used,but it's OK the sales rep only charged my dad £1484 plus about £600 interest on top.Preying on the old and vulnerable for something that he was probably charged £2000 too much.If you want something that vibrates a bit,your better going to Ann Summers

Don't ever purchase from this company, 6 weeks ago I rang customer services as I was unable to open the ottoman storage area of the bed where all the linen change etc is stored.,Having been advised an engineer with call at a cost of £150 call out .After waiting 3 weeks I rang again and was told the same.We are still waiting.Can anyone recommend an alternative repair agent for these beds?

Brought a chair from them about 3/4 years ago the frame has snapped in half, tried all the phone numbers that they have only to listern to a robot saying their is no-one here to take your call..

I got a Ottoman bed last year which I was quite happy with until the Ottoman part of the bed broke. I rang to ask if someone could come and fix it for me only to be told that an engineer would ring me back when I had my friend with me and they would tell my friend how to lower it back.I had to spend the night sleeping on my sofa ,which really hurt my back as I'm disabled suffer with backpain .The engineer told my friend that someone would ring me and make an appointment for an engineer to come and fix it,but this hasn't happened. I am absaloutley distraught and feel that I have been coned by Company.

I have had my bed for a week now, it is brilliant. The company is so professional, couldn't do enough to helpThe salesman Mr John Howard was patient, so full of advice for both myself and my husband, just couldn't do enough to advise us. Because I was close to having treatment, he got in touch with the MD who very kindly signed of for my bed to be delivered in half the time. John still keeps in touch to make sure everything is going well.And Cindy who I have spoken to on the phone is a lovely, polite lady to deal with as well. Can not fault .anyone in that company.I am recommending them100percent.

Bought 2 single beds costing around £10,000 . All was well for first couple of years. But after the warranty ran out. The end of one of the beds broke( a peace of chipboard with no support ) I have the insurance , so I called them they came and looked at it. Said they would sort it out but have heard nothing. Called them several times and was told they would phone back , they never did. Recently had a sales rep come round who said an engineer would be in touch and again have heard nothing. The vibration and adjustable part no longer work either.Service: Delivery

Beware, these people talked my cousin who has learning difficulties into buying a bed which she did not need or could afford for £3,899.00! Where is their common sense. It is clear to anyone from her behavior that she has little concept of money or it's worth. I have managed to contact them to cancel, which they have agreed to do, but will be watching closely to ensure they refund her money which was paid in full.
