2nd visit even tho I'd hadn't really enjoyed the first.
We had Sunday Lunch, the bar lady come waitress was extremely unprofessional.
My son requested half & half chicken and pork, he was told they don't really like doing that as customers took the mickey!!
I ordered beef.
The pub itself was absolutely freezing inside, so much so there are blankets around ?.
I had to use one, couldn't feel my legs!
Food arrived, my son had his half and half, and I was brought chicken ?..
The bar lady said it must be her fault, doh !
The food itself was good, however the gravy was awful, looked like granules, an absolute shame tbh, just wandering what happened to all those lovely meat & veg juices.
Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Very lovely pub in Defynnog! We visited on a Sunday evening and they worked very hard to fit our group of 9 in for an evening meal and some drinks when we turned up last minute - a very nice place to spend a rainy evening!

Loved this pub . Rustic great food and hospitality. Could have staying all day and evening. Log fires etc. Lovely pub and will defo make a trip there next time I am in or near brecon

We visited the pub yesterday with our 2 dogs and we couldn't have been happier with the service. Lovely sisters running the place with fantastic drink options and the sunday dinner was AMAZING!! Very kind to our doggos and a lovely cosy pub. Also beautifully decorated for Christmas. Will be back soon. Thank you for the great service :)FYI: didn't stay in the rooms but couldn't untick the rating for that.
