Nice national park in South Wales. Some easy climb peaks and waterfalls to visit and lots of camping and hiking options. Bit of history here too with Neolithic sites, ruins of castles and remains of old mining industry.

I never explored with an offline map in my life. This place is totally amazing. They gave us an offline map and we explored the places around with that. We can walk, take care, or climb the hills to see places.

Sugar Loaf Mountain has stunning views of the surrounding scenery. Walk enjoyable and not too taxing for most able bodied. National Trust car park best start spot so car can get you half way up!

A really great national park! I have to admit that I underestimated it before. We are in the area for a few days on a GB tour and wanted to do a day trip. Now in hindsight, it would have been better if we had spent a few days in the park. Besides the great landscape and the countless sheep, there is so incredibly much to discover that you can hardly decide. Besides hiking tours, there are also several providers for action or horseback riding excursions, you can ride an old steam locomotive, go kayaking, etc. Whatever your heart desires! I can by no means list everything there is to do. I would definitely call it an outdoor paradise.

Absolutely beautiful place to be, climbed Pen-y-fan with 3 friends on the heat wave weekend. It was sweltering but stunning. Great achievement and beautiful views.

Fantastic scenery and masonry. Discarded treasures surely too good to leave to rot? This is at the base of the horseshoe walk around Pen y Fan?a lovely place to walk and cycle. Highly recommended

Absolutely stunning. Nature at it's most beautiful. Some of the walks and access to the Four Falls are definitely hard going though. A pretty high level of fitness required to visit all four of them. It's worth the effort!

Could loose so many hours being mesmerised by such natural beauty ? will be making sure I return.make sure you take a pair of waterproof high boots if you like to be able to walk in rivers etc ? also worth packing some swim wear and towel as there are many spots to take a dip especially on a sunny day.

Amazing!! There are hikes for every level. We did the waterfall hike and were so impressed with the natural beauty. It is very dog and family friendly and the pubs around are so delicious for a dinner after a hike well done. I would recommend the waterfall hike as you can even walk behind the waterfall at one point, but there are many for all tastes.

If you're driving towards brecon beacon from Cardiff, these are the sceneries you won't miss. It's even more beautiful when it's below 0° as the snow covering the hills looks amazingly beautiful. The small roads, broad wide view of the sky is something that may be gone in the near future. So it's really worth taking a day trip from west of England towards Wales.

Breathtaking and beautiful. There's no wonder why the Brecon Beacons National Park has visitors all year. At busy times it is difficult to park, but if you can park and enjoy this wonderful place, you will not be disappointed.Food and drink vans a plenty and portaloos in the main car park
