A soulful Welsh escape ? with the best breakfast in Wales.
We stayed at Tyddyn Llan for a dreamy weekend away and absolutely loved every minute. The historic building has been beautifully refreshed ? light, calm and homely with lots of lovely personal touches. Dinner was outstanding (the 10-course tasting menu tells a real story) but the five-course breakfast was next-level ? especially the shared trout and homemade crumpets. Staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms super comfortable, and it?s in a brilliant spot for exploring Bala, Snowdonia and walks around Llyn Tegid. A true gem in North Wales ? can?t wait to return!

I visited Tyddyn Llan recently and left feeling disappointed. While the setting itself is pleasant, the service was slower and less attentive than I would expect for the prices charged. As a Welsh speaker, I was also surprised that no Welsh was spoken during my visit, especially in a rural part of Wales. This made the experience feel less welcoming to me. Overall, I felt it offered poor value for money and wouldn?t rush to return.

Just returned from a night stay at Tyddyn Llan which is a lovey modern restaurant with rooms. The rooms have been nicely redecorated also with lovely toiletries and homemade shortbread.
As I only eat fish they prepared a menu especially for me and it was printed out.
We had booked the 6 course but you also get Amuse bouche and an avocado dip with chicken skin.
All the food was amazing but we particularly enjoyed the bread and mushroom butter, tuna tartar, John Dory and the desserts were spot on.
The wine flight was well matched with each course and good value.
We also loved breakfast it?s a taster menu and the items are of top quality.
Staff were all very knowledgeable and helpful about the food and wines. Everyone was wonderful. Maria the manger and Gareth the chef have made this restaurant with rooms really special. We also had excellent service from Osian, Angharad, Darcy and Emily.

Beautiful place, didn't actually stay or eat. It was a removals job for us but the owners are very friendly and it's such a gorgeous location and property.

Here for the 8 course tasting menu plus the fantastic canapés you can nibble at whilst perusing the menus. There are a couple of choices for the main and 5 dessert options. A great team of staff on hand serving at whatever pace you wish for. All in all a delightful experience. Time spent there 2 1/2 hours.

We had a vary warm welcome when we arrived and was shown into the lounge with drinks and canapés.An excellent Sunday lunch was served by very efficient and helpful staff. Recomended.Food & drinks: Excellent.
