Good place for a casual drink, very cheap prices! Bar staff hit and miss, some very good, some cant break a smile, but for £2.99 a pint, cant complain!

DREADFUL SERVICE today from MANAGER SHAUN, extremely impolite and rude after I questioned a late order, cancelled my drinks....not even sure if he gave me a refund!.... Basil Fawlty school of hospitality I'm afraid....making a formal complaint....if I dont get an apology I shan't be returning....so there!....the young lady manager was delightful however....such is life I suppose!

Wetherspoons pub located in what must have been one of those flat roof estate pubs with two Alsatian?s on the roof
The refurb by spoons seems to have kept most of that ambience except the carpets have improved
Planners of new towns didn?t seem to think people needed a pub so
This is the only pub in Cwmbran town centre so is always busy
Half the people do that wierd queueing thing you get in Wetherspoons which suits the staff as they seem to like staying in one spot

If you like an overcooked BBQ tasting crispy and burnt dry mixed grill, then here on a Saturday afternoon is the place for you.
Over 30 minutes from order to table is the wait required and when a mixed grill arrives, bring your chainsaw to cut through the meat.
It's a true shame as usually the food in Weatherspoons is better quality than this.
