Me and a group of friends to stop off here after a couple of days of hiking. The lady at the bar was really pleasant and it was a nice welcoming face to see. Decent range of drinks and you can sit outside and if it's sunny you've got an incredible view

Just had the most amazing takeaway Sunday Lunch from the Red Lion. Delicious home made food at its very best, would definitely recommend and will certainly be eating here again, love a lazy Sunday when someone else cooks the dinner!!

Booked in for lunch today. Obviously there is work going on as part of refurbishment, however we had a lovely pub lunch, chicken curry, steak pie, faggots and for our pescatarian, squid which was meant as a starter but the portion was huge! The food was delicious, couldn?t fault it. Give these guys a chance

The pub has recently been taken over by new owners.
We used to go to this pub on a regular basis, but unfortunately, we will be finding a different local pub to go to now. We visited for the first time with the new owners yesterday evening, we will definitely not be returning for the following reasons:
- The atmosphere was terrible, alot quieter than what it used to be. It was extremely cold to sit and eat.
-The service was awful, we had to go up to the bar whenever we wanted drinks/food.
- Some of our food was stone cold, we had to go up to the bar to send it back. The food came back microwaved.
-Between the first person having their meal, to the last person having their meal. The first person had already finished their food.
-We had to ask 4 times for our side dishes, which went with some of the main meals.
-We waited an 1hr 20minutes for our food. (We were only a table of 6)
-No one asked if everything was OK or if we wanted any thing else (e.g sauces, steak knife for Gammon..)
-The meal prices had gone up by approximately £6 from what it was with the previous owners.
Sorry to say, but what was a thriving, excellent local pub has now been completely ruined.

This is the second time I have had a perfectly cooked steak, here is a chef who knows what they are doing?

Lovely village pub. Well kept real beer. Absolutely no dogs allowed inside pub, which is a great shame. There are a few picnic tables in small pub carpark across lane - so can drink outside with your dog if not raining.

The very best pub we have experienced, with a very warm welcome. They exceeded all expectations by going the extra mile in helping us with a very stressful situation that we had got ourselves into. Without the help of the very kind gentleman behind the bar, we would have been in dire straits. Certainly a pub that should be visited.Thank you very much.
