Really nice friendly var lady ... pub is really quirky and old fashioned which was kinda lovely. Food came out hot and pretty quick good size too. More veg would be nice but no complaints from me. Would definitely go back to try the Jamaican menu

We were staying at a camp site a 2 mile away and walked here for food. The lady was rude and rude to the staff - as the young girl went to ask her if we could order she said I can?t take any more then she came up and said there?s 14 outside I have to accommodate for and I?ve got loads in the pub there?ll be a huge weight if you wanted to stay for food I asked her if there was a possibility we could order a late lunch and she said there?s still gonna be a wait She was extremely rude and not very accommodating. I understand these places can be busy, but then there is a way of dealing with customers and her mannerism was very poor

Love this country pub, the drinks perfect , friendly lovely staff and banging Caribbean-Welsh fusion food. Buy a bottle of their hot sauce to take home. You won?t be disappointed ??

Food was delicious but service was very unfriendly though seemingly not to others. Perhaps they hate tourists, not sure. She wouldn?t even look at us and it marred our experience there unfortunately.

Proper hospitality in a beautiful setting. Simon (the owner / publican) arranged for a ride to/from The Horse Shoe Inn from down the road at the canal as we were travelling on a narrowboat and with someone who could not comfortably walk up the hill. The food was great (portions HUGE) and bar staff very accommodating. Their patio across the road has to be one of the most scenic in Wales.

Great place for a pint of real ale, and food (Welsh/Jamaican) is superb. Excellent old style pub with nice atmosphere.
