I was visiting friends nearby and was strolling by the lovely shops on High Street when I spotted a Grenfells tote bag—the perfect souvenir to bring back to the US.
The kind man at the cash register insisted I take it as a gift to remind me of the kindness of the people of Wales. Indeed! And it’s one of my favorite memories of my UK trip!
Thank you, Grenfells! May your kindness be returned many times over.

We were in Crickhowell 2 years back. We bought some items and the lovely man in the shop gave us a bag to us to use. The bag now lives in Australia. I met a lady the other day and asked if I was Welsh as she saw my bag. She came from Crickhowell and it bought back memories for her.

This small grocery store is truly wonderful! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, which is exactly why Wales is my favorite part of the UK. I?ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a warm, local place with great service!

Visited here a few times whilst on holiday to the area. Absolutely superb selection of meats and veggie,
options... almost too many to choose from! But the perfect place to stock up for picnics and lunchtime snacks. A must visit!

Always a smile and a welcome. and the little shop is always well stocked with food and even wine. It has a bit of everything so very handy and a proper village type shop. We are very lucky in Crickhowell.

Be aware that the advertised opening hours on Google are completely off the mark. Today, a regular Monday, they apparently closed at 4.30 or 5.We might still come back because grocery stores are a rarity in this area.
