If your card is looking a bit worn or bent after spending years in your wallets or pockets then change them with your bank. If an atm cant recognise your card or thinks its being tampered with,it will take your card to protect the card holders account. If an ATM retracts your money it's because your taking too long to take it, again another safety issue that every ATM has.ATMS do more than give you money, they allow people to pay bills top up phones and deposit money. If it's showing it's out of cash it can still be used for these services.”
