This has to be the worst ever lamb passanda that I?ve tasted like tomato sauce with mutton not lamb. It used to be exceptionally good there but not now 8/8/25. The ?royal? buna was a similar effort, mutton, chicken and one small prawn?. We won?t be supporting this local as we have been

We enjoyed the wide ranging meat free options here. Paneer is available in many traditional dishes and the biryani sauce was some of the best we?ve had with its fearless use of paprika. Balti meal was rich with deep flavour.

Ate here a few years back and it was great. Not anymore. Reasons for 1 star:
Served me chicken when I ordered a paneer massala. I have (had) been vegetarian for 30+ years. They assured me it was paneer.
Despite apologising they did not even offer a free drink as a proper apology. They didn't even replace all the rest of my plate which had been tainted by meat. After chasing they did eventually bring a new rice.
Everything was bland and tasted like it was from a jar.
They had roofers who worked on the roof until around midnight keeping us awake in hotel next door.
Truly abysmal. Avoid.

We came from maidstone kent where there is abundance of good to excellent Indian restaurants, this was on par to an Indian greasy spoon,no carpet, plastic gross table cloths, service wasn't great, were not posh but this was low down on the standards we were expecting.

Wow - stumbled upon this place after having to retreat to the local village for an overnight stay due to bad weather. Honestly so glad we ended up here, as the food was absolutely out of this world gorgeous. The meat in both mine and my boyfriend's curry's(chicken tikka and naga lamb) was so tender fall apart in the mouth. The actual curry sauce itself was just wonderful really tasty. The peshwari naan was lush. We are from up north and have some of the best award winning curry houses near us. But I would go as far to say Spicebank gave us the best curry we have ever had. The staff were super lovely and accommodating too. Don't miss visit this place and have your taste buds absolutely tantalised ?? Thank you Spicebank we love you guys ??

I was on my own as hungry & as my partner wanted to go back to the hotel. No booking & I was accomodated on a lovely table. Beautiful food - very pleasant atmosphere & throughly enjoyed my experience ???? will be back again next time ???? took any leftovers to my partner ?

We had a meal over the weekend as we were on a short break, it was the worst curry we've had in years, the interior is extremely grim , the building was freezing cold, the only decoration was a Xmas tree & a picture of the external of the building. The roof has clearly got issues judging by the damp patches all over the walls.
To top it off the bill was quite steep, considering we live in a tourist town ourselves we thought the bill was overpriced.

Visted here on our customers recommendation. Food was spot on but felt very rushed, after the waiter telling us to take our time we had our starters n nipped out of a ciggy just as we were at the door our mains were ready so we rushed our smokes and went back in but being so quick n feeling stuffed I personally couldn't finish my main course ?. He did put it in a doggy bag, but I had no way of eating it in my hotel. so is was disappointedly dropped in the bin and wasn't what I would of wanted after spending 30 quid. As the pics previously posted they have a damp problem also.

Absolutely the best and only India Restaurant I have ever given a 5 star. The best india ever.
It was so tastie and not too spicy as I suggested a medium. The staff is very attentive . I am very glad to support this family business, and I hope to return to see the fruit of this review. I hope the locals and visitors will make this discovery as I have just done. A real treasure
