We visit here a couple of times a year for the best ice cream North Wales has to offer (in our opinion) but more recently me and my son fancied eating inside and enjoying the view of Criccieth beach. The evening was drawing in and the staff appeared to be tidying up after a busy day, but they couldn?t have been more accommodating and kind to us, offering us the best seats in the house and some hot food. FYI - Cadwaladers isn?t just for great ice cream?the toasties, the milk shakes, and the coffee are equally as impressive, but the staff take the top marks! Diolch ??

Was pleased to find this place when walking in the hot sun. An ice-cream sundae was just what was needed. Service was good and we all enjoyed our cooling dessert. Only negative is it's on the expensive side for what you get, but isn't most things these days!

Very good range of flavours of ice cream, including plant based, vegan, and gluten free. I had the plant based strawberry ice cream, double scoop in a cup was £4.75 (I think!) ... generally very nice taste, did think the scoop size was a bit on the smaller side compared to many other establishments. Very good overall, attracts huge queues in summer.

We live local and visited the shop last night. Two member of staff behind the counter. Stood there for minutes waiting to be served while both stood there talking and ignored us. Eventually we was served but what a miserable member of staff, but Welsh speaker which was nice to hear.

Went in to use the loo & got shouted at as the wiman mopping the floor. Was going to buy walked out instead. Rude lady!

Myself and my sons stopped here for cold drinks and we were going to have sausage rolls...
Told we would be waiting a while....for 3 cold sausage rolls we did not want them heating, so I didn't have them...
We had two ice teas ...which she poured water from the tap and through in a few ice cubes with the syrup...could not believe what I saw....tasted disgusting...my othet son had a ice latte vanilla...could not taste the vaniila just strong coffee again disgusting....charged just under £10...save your money ..!!!

Had a tuna mayo on brown, bread was not fresh rather dry and coffee average like most cafe establishments these days.Took our order to another table not ours!

We enjoyed our ice cream sundaes, expensive as they were, but the service here at Cadwaladers was simply disappointing.
Bringing out adult ice creams 3 minutes before the kids is a rookie error in an apparent ?family run, family friendly? establishment, but to then bring out the children?s ones, hover them in front of a 2 and 4 year old, only to turn around and walk away to check the table number despite us saying it was our order is just silly.
The same waitress then circled around us after we?d finished while my wife breastfed our 3 month old, practically ushering us out the door.
A disappointing experience all round.

Save your £9.00 (two 2 scoop tubs).Sadly the vanilla is nothing like the original Cadwaladers ice cream from the 1960's. Where has all the richness and creamy flavour gone. Did they lose the 'secret' recipe or have they just gone cheap. We were warned by locals but still chanced it, never again. My Wife said it tasted like cheap supermarket non dairy. Being Australian she never tasted the original recipe and had just heard me hyping it up.

Fantastic staff, service, food and surroundings. A highlight being the rear conservatory dining area with views to die for. No better way of sharing a pot of tea with a loved one whilst enjoying a wonderful Cadwaladers ice cream, just joyful ??

A double scoop of Salted caramel and cookie dough. Amazing. The best ice cream I've had in a long time. Lovely and smooth and creamy.
