Oh.my.word.Best pub I've been in years. Landlord, locals had us cracking up. Great beer, great atmosphere. Step back in time when you walk in. Going back later for a few scoops. Unfortunately only open Friday, Sat Sun, Monday. Make the most of this pub while you can. Absolute gem.Did I mention vintage 1980 duke box with 80s vinyl singles? Takes old 10p/50ps

Walked to Corwen from Cynwyd during our summer holiday. The pub welcomed us with open arms and there were plenty of drinks choices, seats, and board games. The landlord is brilliant and witty. Kindly lent us darts to play some games. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to anyone visiting the local area.

This is a proper pub. Went in for a couple of pints tonight and were made to feel like old friends. Thanks so much - pubs (and landlords) like this are a rare commodity these days.

We went here during the COVID pandemic in 2020; sadly, this meant that food was unavailable. We were a family of four adults and three small children and had been refused entry to other public houses already. The welcome here was warm and genuine, from the landlord and those locals already inside. Although fairly ordinary from the outside, this hostelry is fascinating on the inside with an old-style, vinyl records jukebox (10p per play), a large selection of games to play and a pool table among the entertainments. The landlord is wonderful to talk to and makes everyone welcome.

We were staying in the area at the beginning of September 2020 - lots of places not even allowing us in as we are a family of four adults and three "littlies". The welcome here was faultless, from the landlord and all the locals. The beers were excellent and very well-kept (my wife and I are retired publicans) and the atmosphere was just wonderful. Our six and seven year old granddaughters loved the authentic jukebox and were entranced by the selection of games available in various drawers set into the pub tables. The only drawbacks were 1. Only open at the weekends due to COVID regulations and 2. No food available, for the same reason. I would recommend this pub to anyone in the area for whatever reason.
